iOCHOW Portable High Definition Book Document Scanner, Max A3 Size, Only for Windows

So I was very hesitate to purchase this at first because of the cost. However, I am so glad I did. I wanted to wait a few weeks before giving a review. I needed to make sure this product actually worked. I wished it would have been priced a little less but it is definitely worth the $299.00! So here is what I love:1. Easy to install with the CD2. Program works on my Lenevo and Dell Computer like a charm!3. There is a Users Guide Book and walks you through everything. It was nice to have a book to and not have to download instructions.4. The picture quality is absolutely AMAZING! I have scanned color and black/white and it does a great job.5. The scan book option is unbelievable. There is an option to remove your fingers when you are holding the pages. It does exactly that!6. I love the fact that you can take the scanner and mat and use it on multiple computers. We have 3 computers in our home and everyone can use it with their own computer.7. It Does WORK with Zoom. I was able to teach a class and I had no issues. However, you have to use the Zoom option of "sharing screen" for it to work. There maybe another way but I have not been able to figure it out yet8. There are SO MANY OPTIONS I have the whole summer to play around with the scanner and see what it can do!9. Well worth the money!

I've used book scanners before, but the older kind. I've had this thing for several hours now and I've scanned two hardback books that are searchable, so I am pretty happy with it. Both of the books are black and white with no photos, so its the simplest case, but it works.If you are going scan anything glossy, the built in light wont work - you'll have to provide two lamps or even flashlights at a 45 degree angle for each page in order to get rid of glare.The software installation is a bit foreign, but you can get through it ok. The page flattening feature works well, and the "remove fingertip" works ok, but sometimes leaves a slight shadow where the fingertip was, and has a hard time with page edges. I recommend getting some of those rubber fingertips you can get at an office supply place, because if you skip a page, its not so easy to correct later.I used an old laptop to do the processing, with which all went well. After you've taken all the images, you can export the book as a pdf and that is when it does the OCR which is heavily compute bound. Nevertheless, it only took about 6 minutes to export a full 300 page text with the OCR on my modest laptop. All my scanning was done at night in a dark room with the device supplying the lighting, and it was sufficient for the regular books i scanned.I did have to spend about an hour or so playing with the settings to see what effect they had on the resulting pages. Good documentation would have more of this "usage advice" than what is provided, so I knocked it down a star for that and the oversimplified lighting, but overall it's a keeper.

My husband scanned one page from his photo album. It recognized 4 individual photos from the page, automatically cropped and saved each as its own. It saved a single phot with all of them when I chose ‘single page’. Photos didn’t look as sharp as the ones taken by my SLR camera, bot since I didn’t use it for scanning photos, it doesn’t bother me.I watched the video of the product before the purchase and there are some pretty neat features, I have used some of them and so far I am very happy with the scanner.

I purchased this scanner about 6 months ago.Picture quality: not good. I thought that I was going to see a resolution of 17mp. it looks more like 7mp.Software: really bad. the website to download it is corrupted, you will get a virus if you tried to downloaded from their website. you must use the disc that coms with it, and there are no updates. Software automatically closes while scanning books which makes the usefulness of this apparatus useless. Final text scanned document comes out with a mixture of letters and symbols all the time. This makes the scanned book useless. Only was able to used it in non-recognizable text mode. But, again, if the software keeps closing by itself, what use does it have?The light is reflective in the paper which renders the page with blurry-in -contrast useless.I want to throw it away. what a waste of my money.

The media could not be loaded.  I bought this scanner for use in my art classroom. It works great for scanning my student's artwork. It has a super high-quality output. I love that it has an auto-crop feature and uploads multiple artworks automatically without having to click scan! It has turned a long and tedious process into a quick and efficient process that produces a high-quality scan. I had a question about the product and received a very prompt response from the seller. I am happy and highly recommend this product.

Fácil de poner en marcha, requiere un intel i5 para ir bién. Escanea muy cómodo en automático. Es muy rápido y eficiente. Fácil de transportar. Conviene leer el manual para conocer detalles. Sugiero, según el uso, realizar pruebas, escaneando lo musmo, usando las diferentes posibilidades del programa. Yo ya lo hice y muy bién.La luz incidente si es un problema a resolver. Si las páginas son algo satinadas, el brillo estropea el escaneo, incluso la luz incorporada que lleva el escaner causa problema.Según mi experiencia despues de muchas pruebas, la mejor luz es artificial indirecta difusa. Lo consigo con un plafon pequeño de led de 9w, sin parpadeo, coloandolo justo sobre el escaner y proyectando la luz hacia arriba. El reflejo sobre paredes blancas proporciona la luz adecuada. No requiere mucha intensidad de luz, el exceso de luz crea sombras molestas en el escaneo.No es perfecto pero he quedado muy contento con la compra.

Très satisfait de ce produit, et je me demande même pourquoi j'ai tant attendu. La prise en mains est facile: 2 branchements (Caméra - PC, Caméra - Bouton déclencheur) et le tour est joué. L'installation du logiciel Starline se fait depuis une clé USB, ou un CD (ou un QR code). Bien que le logiciel (en plusieurs langues dont le français) soit simple et intuitif, je recommande chaudement de lire la notice, il y a quelques astuces qui ne se devinent pas. Concernant la numérisation elle-même, il est possible de scanner un document unique, plusieurs documents en 1 clic (ex. carte d'identité + permis + carte grise dans 3 fichiers distincts), et surtout un livre entier. C'est la fonctionnalité à mon avis la plus intéressante. Et c'est l'enfance de l'art ! On peut choisir la prise automatique des clichés, ou le mode manuel. Un ligne orange permet de placer les deux pages en vis-à-vis, et la numérisation propose ensuite de scinder les deux pages en deux fichiers (avec OCR si souhaité). Les fonctionnalités les plus bluffantes sont : 1) le retrait des doigts (s'ils sont bien positionnés, voir la notice), et 2) l'aplatissement des courbures (ce n'est pas miraculeux, mais c'est plus qu'honorable !). Résultat (après quelques entraînements) on peut numériser un livre entier en quelques minutes, c'est assez spectaculaire ! L'éclairage intégré permet de s'affranchir complètement de l'environnement. Sur les photos j'illustre le processus : éclairage, positionnement d'un livre, scan par déclenchement externe, visualisation dans l'éditeur intégré (les 2 pages sont dissociées), puis export en PDF. What else ! Seul bémol la qualité de l'image. C'est correct pour la plupart des usages, mais ce n'est pas de la haute résolution.

Very easy to set up. I have windows 10 and all went very smoothly. Not happy with initial copies but then I discovered the light switch for it duhhhh!!Great piece of kit. Haven’t tried copying books yet.

The media could not be loaded.  Ho acquistato questo scanner principalmente perchè avevo bisogno di uno strumento piccolo e maneggevole, che mi permettesse in viaggio di poter scansionare velocemente dei documenti ed averli immediatamente disponibili.Il prodotto si presenta ben imballato, completo di tappetino nero, cablaggi e software che permette una veloce installazione (nel mio caso con Windows 10): lo scanner si chiude a libro, è composto da una base ed un braccio che si apre rendendo immediatamente funzionante l'apparecchio.A dire il vero forse sarebbe stato meglio rendere la base un pò più pesante, bisogna fare attenzione a non urtarla durante l'utilizzo, ma a parte questo non ci sono particolari problemi: molto comoda invece la luce led presente sul braccio, si accende in automatico in condizioni di scarsa illuminazione, l'acquisizione delle immagini avviene attraverso il software, oppure manualmente utilizzando un pulsante collegato con un cavo direttamente allo scanner.Onestamente lo utilizzo principalmente per le conversioni in pdf, l'acquisizione è molto veloce e la qualità buona anche grazie all'ottica performante: volendo è presente l'opzione appiattimento delle pagine, funziona abbastanza bene ma non aspettatevi miracoli.Per chi lo desidera è presente anche il riconoscimento automatico del linguaggio, nonchè la possibilità di trasformare il testo in file word per renderlo immediatamente editabile: questa funzione l'ho testata molto poco perchè mi interessa relativamente, comunque in un paio di occasioni ho voluto mettere alla prova lo scanner ed effettivamente il riconoscimento è avvenuto piuttosto velocemente, con una pagina word quasi esente da errori...in ogni caso è necessario il controllo "umano", quindi se utilizzate questa modalità non fidatevi ciecamente.Per il resto prodotto molto versatile, ben trasportabile durante viaggi di lavoro, rapporto qualità prezzo a mio parere idoneo.Spedizione veloce e sicura con Prime, una garanzia!PRO:- versatilità e maneggevolezza- velocità nella creazione di file pdf- facilità di installazione driver, software molto chiaro ed intuitivo- buona ottica, buona resa dello scan- qualità generale del prodottoCONTRO:- base un pò leggera, attenzione agli urti- funzione appiattimento pagine non perfetta- creazione file word migliorabile
