Great support and pain relief, straps too long
I purchased this after I badly injured the rotator cuff and deltoid on my right shoulder. It does a great job of deloading my shoulder, which helps immensely with pain and discomfort. It also holds the shoulder into the joint well with the wrap around strap the adjustment ability on the shoulder was very helpful in fitting. My PT helped me set it up in the best way for my injury and was pleased with it. The only parts that are irritating me are the strap length and placement. For reference, I am 4’11”. Pulling the cross body straps as tight as possible doesn’t fit me well at all, as it’s far too long for me. I end up having to put the velcro of the front strap on the back strap and it doesn’t stick as well. Second, after wearing for several weeks, the arm strap began to rub under my are to the point of irritation. The body strap ends up creeping up and rubbing under my chin when the strap starts stretching. I’ve been taking more breaks and using my sling instead during those times and it has helped. I’m not sure a taller person would have the same problem, this is just my experience.

Heaven Sent
My husband has been having such bad shoulder pain in both his shoulders. He can barely lift them and sometimes is almost in tears. His doctor ordered an MRI and in the meantime we ordered this. It has provided such relief. He sleeps elevated with a neck pillow and the brace on and it helps immensely. He has been given some meds to help, but this provides a lot of stability for his shoulders which really gives him some relief. I am so grateful that we found this. It has been heaven sent until we can find out what’s wrong.

Needs to be tighter
Seems to help with pain. However can't tighten enough around my chest ran out of room to tighten it going to have to find a way to get it tighter. Around arm its great. Biceps are at the top of thr xxl measurement chart for sizing. Chest is within range but on lower end of sizing. Odd body type im sure. Other than sizing issue around chest felt and wore great.

Great five star product, but not really universal in size
Let me explain. This is a great product. I have been suffering from shoulder pain for quite a while. My pain is caused more by ligaments and not muscular but it probably helps both. I like that it helps keep my shoulder stable. Most of my pain is when i try and relax my arm and my shoulder feels like its sliding down. This product keeps it firm in place and helps relieve my muscles from having to stay tense all the time. The pouch for hot and cold pads is also a great plus to this product. I alternate between hot and cold gel pads and it really helps. It seems the be well constructed and the sewing is firm and should last a long time. Once you get the sizing correct it becomes really comfortable to wear and can be worn for a long time without discomfort from it. Which brings me to my slightly lower point of this shoulder brace. The only thing that I had a problem with was the sizing. I am not really a big guy. i have skinny arms and a fatter torso. I bought the universal thinking it would work. Surprisingly it was the right size around my torso but it was way too tight on my arm. I could not strap it around my arm. The universal size does seem to run really small around the arm. I went ahead and bought the XXL. When it came in, the shoulder part fits around my arm much better but the strap around my torso was too big and almost wrapped around my entire body before clasping. I could not easily put it on myself and secure it. The good thing about having both sizes was the torso strap is completely removable. I was able take the torso strap off the smaller universal sized one and installed it on the XXL shoulder pad. At this point it was a perfect fit! Great product if you can get the right fit. Since the arm strap is not removable it really limits the proper sizing to be universal. I don't ever recommend buying what you don't need, but with the low price of this item I would recommend buying both sizes and then it can be truly interchangeable for yourself as well as others that might need to use it. With both sizes you can then mix and match the torso straps as well as the shoulder portion. Other than the sizing this is a great overall product and you will not be disappointed in getting it (or both). Good luck!

May work for you but caused pain for me.
I did not request a refund because I don't feel it's their fault that this thing causes me pain. Maybe it'll be better for me in a few weeks or maybe it was not designed for my particular injury, a grade 3 acromioclavicular joint separation. Due to the misspelling suggestion, clearly, Amazon's dictionary doesn't know that word; I truly wish I didn't know it either, to be honest. Anyway, you can look anywhere online for shoulder braces and everything points to things that look like this product so I believe it to be appropriate for many shoulder injuries, just not mine. I asked my doctor before I got it and he agreed that it may do me some good, so I suggest once again that it may very well work well for your injury or aggravation. If you just have a sore shoulder or your injury like mine is only a grade 1 or 2, it just might bring you relief. I am six weeks in at the moment and it still causes pain. I just shared my story so you know to take this "fix" with a grain of salt and don't try to force it to work if it brings you pain. I tossed mine into a corner and plan to try it again after a few more weeks of physical therapy. Good luck you you and, please, take it easy in your recovery! Update: Okay, what are we at now, hmm, April 25th to Nov. 29th... Yeah, PT is slowly but steadily making life a bit easier but that shoulder brace NEVER felt right so I ended up giving it to Goodwill. I am not telling you to skip this purchase, I just want you to be aware that you can always remove your brace if it causes you pain. You don't have to force it. If it doesn't work for you, try something else. This brace may work for you, I'm just reporting that it never did work for me.

I bought the larger one because I have large arms and didn't want to have to return it. The larger version is pretty big, and wound up not being as supportive after a while, so I broke down and bought this smaller size. Well, this one was a bit tight at first, but stretched out enough that it fits perfectly. I have a badly torn supraspinatus, along with a couple other torn tendons, and will definitely be needing surgery, so while I wait for that, I will be wearing this brace, daily. I wore the larger one for a month or so, and I am really happy with the quality. I really like that the arm piece has a piece of plastic to hold the strap in place. The only thing I would change is that the velcro part could be a bit narrower so that the prickly part of it doesn't rub on your skin and irritate you. Definitely worth the money, and great for holding an ice pack in place.
