This fan puts the lotion in the basket and does exactly what it's told. This isn't quiet but it moves some serious cfm.
Searching for a fan that can move a lot of air for home, no A/C in the California Central Coast means the need for good fans to take advantage of the coastal air. Having zero reviews until recently, I took a chance and wanted to leave my feedback after just a few days and 90F temps. On arrival:There is no overbox, so the box containing the fan is the one used in shipment.Contents were packed securely and not damaged despite a little (and only a little) rough handling. What I like:The fan blade design and shroud piqued my interest. I'm not a math wizard, however pulling 2.5amps on high with the number of blades and surface area, I expected this to be a performer.Fan blades are attached at the end to a plastic ring all the way around, it may not be apparent in the photos. This adds rigidity. It oscillates which many large fans in this price range do not.Build quality is very stout, the motor is very heavy. The drive, drive pins that attach to the fan seem bulletproof.Metal base with rubberized edge and wheels.Assembly was straight forward, piece of cake. 20~30min and it was fully assembled. How it performs:On low and medium, this pushes air cleanly through a 15x25x10 rectangular living room able to empty it in under a minute.Compared to my 16" Lasko pedestal fan, this has lowered the interior room temperatures by 5F at least across the board. It's currently 72.5F outside and 76.1F inside this is a big victory for me.Running two 16" fans in series could never accomplish this.Inside was always a 10F delta and by that I mean it's 10F warmer inside than the outside. This fan has cut that delta in half and that isn't running it on high.On high full speed, it's beast mode. I don't think I will ever need to run it at this speed.dB readings at a distance of 10 feet facing the fan -Low speed - 60dBMedium - 65dBHigh - 70dBStanding next to the fan shroud inches away on high speed, 75dB.What I don't like:Only a 1yr warranty. I don't feel this will fail prematurely, however I would have felt even more confident in my purchase with an extra year or a protection policy from Amazon. The manual states that the motor will get hot to touch which is normal, it has built in thermal protection and will shut down to prevent damage. On a 90F day in the shade inside, the motor gets hot enough to be uncomfortable touching it for more than 5 seconds. If you have a Macbook Pro, run that full tilt on a warm day and feel the bottom, it's roughly the same.Unknowns:How many years of life it can withstand on low or medium setting.

So far, the fan is running well. Set up wasn't that hard but lack of clear instruction. Once the power is on medium and high, the fan does shake a bit on the oscillator mode. overall meet and exceed my expectation.

Works Very Well
Unfortunately, 8 vital screws were missing when the fan was delivered and it took an additional 10 days to receive the replacements. But, the fan itself works well and I'm satisfied with it.

The fan is very loud and really don't put out as much air as would be expected I have a 2 bladed 20' fan that puts out twice the air and is much more quiet and it was made in the 50's I thought technology would of improved.

Can not recomend
Expensive for the size but moves a lot of air. My unit had been previously sold (could easily tell by how it was repacked) but it seems to work as it should. Got an extended warranty just in case.

Say what
I would give it five stars but it is noise as ----. All in all though I think it was a good buy.

Great fan
Easy to put together, heavy enough to stay put, has wheels to move around with and moves a lot of air on high speed. And I like it's mostly metal including the fan shroud. Spring loaded stand was easy to compress during assembly. It's balanced just right to hold up the weight
