the Brown Gold 100% Columbian is the best canned coffee anywhere
Bar-none, the Brown Gold 100% Columbian is the best canned coffee anywhere. Even better than most "boutique" coffees. Purchased the (1 lb) can in the supermarket for many a long time---more than 30 years. Couldn't find it anymore in retail stores early this year; a couple of years ago--after holding out, I guess, as long as it could BG reduced the can size to 11.5 oz. So glad to find it again online. These online coffee bags are 12 oz and just as delicious. Lot's of coffee-bang for your buck.

Woth it for mer
Local supermarket stopped carrying this brand. They only could suggest looking on line. Found it here for a greater price, but can't get it anywhere else. We tried other brands, but were just very disappointed. Bought five bags at once to get free shipping, and we go through a bag in about 2 to 3 weeks. Will definitely reorder. Never thought I was a coffee snob and probably am not. Have tried grinding beans myself, but can't get it to compare with this all Columbian brand. The company used to be owned by Tetley Tea of Boston, but now seems to be owned by a company out of Texas. Quality has stayed the same, however. Yes, it is pricier than other name brands though less so than others, but worth it for us.

A decent brew but seemed a bit off.
I have tried varied grinds, amounts, and have adjusted brewtime and temperature trying to get the most out of this coffee. The brew was certainly earthy and had a pleasant (albeit weak) aroma but just didn't deliver for me. I hate to say it but it tasted "dank" and weak bodied at its "best" even with a finer grind and longer brew time. Larger amounts yielded a cup too bitter to choke down. I'd drink it again and be satisfied but I doubt that I will purchase it anytime soon.

SMOOTH
This coffe tastes great! The price is great as well. Like other reviewers I have tried many different ethiopian coffees, all were more expensive than this one. This one is as good or better than all of them, including Marley ethiopian. It is strong but smooth. I think I will start having this one delivered regularly!

Junk coffee. I use to buy brown gold coffee ...
Junk coffee. I use to buy brown gold coffee in a can from publix. Some time back they removed it from their shelves. Not sure why. Then I found this on amazon and ordered it. This stuff is no where near the one they sold in cans.

Two Stars
One package was ruined; hard as a rock. The coffee was too bitter.

VERY smooth, darker roast
I discovered the BROWN GOLD brand while shopping in an Office Depot one year. They had the k-cups on clearance, so I took a chance. It was some of the best coffee I've had. Their Brazilian roast is no exception. I'm not a big fan of medium/dark roast coffee, but wanted to give this one a try. It's not my favorite, but as far as dark roasts go, it's VERY smooth. No bitterness noted and low acidity. If you like Dunkin Donuts/Donut House type roasts, then you'll probably really enjoy this. I bought it ground so I can have the option of using it in my Keurig and my husband using it in his drip maker. The best of both worlds!

Great Brazilian coffee
The other reviews I've read confounded this product with other coffees from the same supplier. Brown Gold sells coffees from diverse parts of the world, and they are very different one from the other. I like the smooth, rich flavors - Columbian or Brazilian, not the harsher Arabic types. But Brown Gold does a good job of describing each product. Just make sure you order what you like!
