BIC® Velocity® Original Mechanical Pencils, 0.9 mm, Assorted Barrel Colors, Pack of 5

I picked up this pack of BIC Velocity mechanical pencils for my high schooler, and they’ve been a great addition to his school supplies. The 0.9mm lead is a big advantage — it writes smoothly and doesn’t snap constantly like thinner lead does, which makes a huge difference during class and homework. What we like: Smooth, dark writing that looks clean and consistent on paper. Thicker 0.9mm lead means fewer breaks, even when he presses harder while taking notes. Comfortable grip, which he really appreciates during longer assignments or when he’s working through math problems. Built-in eraser works well and doesn’t smear. Good variety of colors — not a big deal, but he likes being able to tell pencils apart. Great value for a pack of five, especially since pencils tend to disappear throughout the school year. Overall, these pencils are durable, reliable, and easy for him to use every day. If you have a student who goes through a lot of pencils or needs something tougher than the standard mechanical pencils, these are a great choice. Highly recommend.

This mechanical pencil set was exactly as advertised. We originally tried it for my son, but even with the 0.9 lead, it still broke a little easily since he presses very hard when writing. However, for typical use they work great. I ended up loving them for myself — they write smoothly and are a great value. Overall, a very good set.

These BIC® Velocity® Original Mechanical Pencils, 0.9 mm are the best lead pencils I've ever found. The 0.9 size does not break when you press down like 0.5 and 0.7 I keep them around everywhere so they are handy to use when needed.

A great pencil for someone looking to lay down a smooth strong line. The 0.9mm thick point is strong and easy to manipulate. The thick barrel is sturdy and has a nice finger grip. This is a keeper!

Nos costaron 188 y valen cada peso. Tomo nota de mis estudios con lapiz porque es mas sencillo poder borrar y rehacer anotaciones, y usar estos mecanicos me han hecho la vida mas feliz. Son ultra comodos de usar, incluso por horas. Lo unico malo es la gomita, prefiero usar una goma aparte porque no es muy buena la que traen. La medida 0.9 mm se ma hecho la perfecta para tomar apuntes tambien, pero no se que tan buena sea para dibujo, al menos para estar escribiendo por horas ha sido genial y sin problemas. Los recomiendo al 100 por el precio. Aparte tambien traen minas extras y gomas extras (en caso de que les sirvan las gomas), y cada lapiz ya trae 2 o 3 minas incluidas.

I am a person who was a strong believer in a number two wooden pencil. The mechanical pencils I tried were always cheap, would break in a single day and would leave my writers bump enflamed. These are THE BEST MECHANICAL PENCILS. The .5 and .7 lead were not Hardy enough for me as I push hard when I write so the .9 is great and mimicked the same sturdiness as a wooden pencil. I love the extra erasers they include but still carry along a white eraser as I think the eraser could not withstand my aggressive erasing. Overall, get them, they are really luxurious pencils.
