Saffy (Simply Small)

The illustration style of this book (and others in the series) is the major selling point. Animals are cute and colors are eye-catching. The construction of the book is also very good; thick cardboard pages with sturdy binding. The actual story is a bit short, and our now two year old son often wants us to reread the book a couple of times.Our son loves the character Saffy, in this book as well as in "Saffy and Ollie" and "Saffy Looks for Rain." He received his first few books in this series when he was around 12 months old and has really taken to them since 18 months. His preferred Simply Small book varies from time to time (favorite is currently "Pippy" the seahorse), but any book from the series makes him smile.

This book was recommended to me when my late talking girl started to show interest in books. It's still a favorite two years on and she knows it by heart. It's simple and uses basic words that kids pick up and join in with.Great for a gift or for your little one. The entire series is wonderful!

Everything about this book was great. The story was perfect for my toddlers, the construction was solid and OK for them to handle, and the illustrations were simple but engaging. This was great.

My daughter is now just 2 and has loved this since she was 6 months old. She has motions with each page and "reads" this along with me now. It has a good message about perseverance. I particularly love the ending "Time to dream of growing tall, Tall enough to reach the stars".

Saffy is an adorable story, I bought it to read to my son once he arrives, but my husband and I both like reading it as well

I give this book (and the others in the series) as a baby gift to all my expecting friends. The graphics are wonderful and the story is adorable. My two year has loved this book for so long..we read it every night. Love it! (and the others)

I was drawn in by the illustrations of this book, but the text is kind of lacking.

This has turned out to be the one book my daughter insists on having read several times a day, every day. She even has started acting out her favorite bits of the story - her own choreography and narration.She references it during diaper changes, whenever one of her favorite words comes up ("snap" is a popular cue word) she picks up her actions from that point of the story.It's been a great find for us!

We love the series. This is our favourite bed time story. And as always, what a beautiful message.
