Ballet Bitcoin Hardware Wallet Card – Offline Crypto Wallet for Secure Self-Custody, No Battery, No USB, No Bluetooth (Single)

This is basically a paper wallet with an app. While I would recommend it to get a noob with no technical experience started, you should definitely get a better cold wallet once you have bitcoin experience. It is bar far the easiest wallet I have every used, but it does suffer from a few issues. 1 - Transfer fees are high if you use the Ballet app. Using the lightning network transfer fees are just a few cents. However this wallet uses the ballet app with transfer fees of about $3.00 for every $50 to $100 of bitcoin. With the advent of the lightning network I am unable to justify these fees. 2 - It is not fire safe. The QR code is a sticker that would burn up in a fire and also the seed phase would burn off. 3 - It is desifned to be a wallet for holding, not spending. In order to send bitcoin out of this wallet you must peel off the top QR sticker to reveal a bottom QR sticker. This creates an issue on what to do with the top sticker. Do you throw it away? Do you try to restick it to the card? 4 - Static wallet addresses. You can not generate new addresses to send and receive bitcoin. This could cause privacy and hacking issues if you continue to use the same addresses. This is definitely a great wallet to get people started, but I would not recommend holding large amounts of Bitcoin in this wallet.

While this wallet can be used by anyone, it is aimed to new users to make using crypto easy while being as secure as possible. "Easy" and "secure" are often at different ends of the spectrum but Ballet does a good job finding a good balance. Where this wallet likely is better than any other is the ability to gift crypto. When it is shipped, the public key wallet address QR code is easy to access behind a little flap without opening the packaging itself. This makes it easy to send crypto to that address from your wallet/exchange so it comes pre-loaded with some crypto for the person receiving it (if you want to). Therefore, I think the Ballet cards are the best way to physically gift crypto to someone and it works for anyone from beginner to a seasoned crypto HODLer.

My cold-storage card from Ballet Crypto just arrived today. With my recent success with BitCoin stocks, holdings of BitCoin currency, and volatility of cryptocurrency, I kept my BitCoin and My Etherium, whilst selling off smaller cryptocurrencies that are not performing, converting them into BitCoin and Etherium, on a 60/40 split of the sale. With the help of the app, I had this done in MINUTES. It was that easy to use!!! Why did I go with cold-storage? First off, I do not trust crypto-currency apps. Secondly, if that cryptocurrency goes under, how am I going to retain the value? Thirdly, hackers - need I say more? Lastly, what happens when governments try to crack down on decentralized currency? I can pull the value back to USD, and put it back on in cryptocurrency with just a few click and peace of mind that my investment in BitCoin and other cryptocurrencies are safe and offline! A Big shout out to Bobby Lee and his for bringing this invaluable product to the market for people new to BitCoin and cryptocurrency, as well as to seasoned users!

The best money spent WOW! From the premium feel to the overall simplicity from the app. Did I mention that you need to get one? Well you do! I have been shopping for cold storage wallets for some time now and I have to say my search is over. They support tons of other coins as well and overall I have to say very Impressed with the quality of this wallet. I have the Ethereum already on its way. I bought these to give as graduation gifts because they made the process sound easy, especially for someone who has no cryptocurrency experiencing who is gifting to people with no cryptocurrency experience. When I would get to the last step in adding bitcoin to one of the wallets (I tried on 2 of the 3) using the Wyre option to process the payment, I would get a "sorry, something went wrong" error. I went through the link listing all of the reasons as to why that could happen, including calling my bank to make sure they weren't blocking it, and none of the reasons applied to me. I communicated, via email, to Ballet's customer service dept. over 2+ weeks time. Their response time was slow, with days in between responses, and their support was ineffective. I then reached our to Wyre. I was able to talk to a customer service agent, who also agreed that none of the usual reasons that I'd be having problems process my payment applies to me, and said they'd open a ticket and have someone get back to me. Days later, I received an email listing the same reasons as to why I might be having trouble with my payment. It's probably an easy fix, but the customer service with Ballet and Wyre were not helpful and very frustrating. I am returning the product and bummed as it seemed like such a fun gift idea.

This is very simple to use , download the app , type in your code and you are ready to send and receive tons of different crypto currency’s, i bought this because I realized with my digital hardware wallet , let’s just call it the “wedger” nano , if you don’t plug them in often to update the software they will lock you out , they really are a pain to use and this alternative is far easier , you could even take a photo and save it somewhere , point being you greatly reduce your chance of losing access to your crypto forever and protect it from online attacks at same time . Photo attached is the back of card , it’s metal and comes with a clear case to store it . For obvious reasons I can’t show the front of the card .
