So far so good!
I've been using Frontline Plus for years and years and I must admit it works quite well but it's so very expensive for the amount that I need which is why I decided to try Pet Armor Plus. Besides the fact that it takes a few days to really work as with Frontline Plus it takes about 24 hours the end result is that Pet Armor does just as good of a job as Frontline Plus ever did on my dog... well at least so far... but if the performance keeps up like this I'll never go back to Frontline Plus again.

Great Protection at a Great Price
I’ve been using PetArmor Plus Flea and Tick Prevention for my dog, and it works just as well as the more expensive brands. I also love that it protects against ticks and chewing lice, which is important since we go on walks and hikes pretty often. The application was super easy just part the fur, apply to the skin, and you’re done. My dog didn’t have any irritation or side effects, which I was worried about at first. The price is a big bonus too. You get the same active ingredients as the leading brand without spending a ton. Overall, this has been reliable, effective, and budget-friendly. I’d definitely recommend it to any pet owner looking for strong flea and tick protection without the high cost.

Great flea and tick prevention for cats
This product is really easy to apply, which is a big plus. I appreciate that it breaks the flea life cycle effectively and comes with a 6-month supply, saving me from frequent purchases. The waterproof feature is a bonus since it stays effective even if my cat gets wet. Overall, it fits my needs well and seems to do the job without any issues.

Works as it should as long as your home and yard flea population is controlled first
So I'm going to leave a detailed review in hopes I can really help some people out there who are looking to find flea relief without wasting money on high dollar pet flea topical or pill products monthly just to find they dont seem to be working out too great. Due to prices...alot of people don't seem to consistently use flea products until they start noticing a flea problem. Which is understandable... But by this time...it may already be too late to be able to rely on a pet flea product alone to fix your problem. Which is usually why you wonder "why does my pets flea medicine not seem to be working?!" First of all....this Product Actually works as it should ...but you most likely won't notice good results unless your home and yard is treated as well. Which is something some people don't tend to realize . Some people just think you give your pet its medicine and everythings good to go and that all fleas disappear. But nope. This even goes for the most high dollar flea pet application out there. It don't matter what you buy. Lets start by saying we must Remember...this is not a magic liquid that turns your dogs fur into bug zappers. this won't keep a flea from hopping on. Sadly..there is no flea medicine that just keeps fleas away the same way bug spray will keep a mosquito away from us humans. But if a flea hops aboard Your pet...the flea will only die as long as it comes in contact physically or by blood ingestion of a lethal amount of the insecticide within the medicine...but won't just die instantly. It can take several hours or up to 2 days or possibly even longer for the flea to finally kick the bucket. And its possible they can still end up laying eggs before they die. So This is mainly just a preventative measure to prevent a flea infestation if your pet, home, and yard has no current flea problems but somehow your pet comes into contact with a stray hitch hiker Joe flea....say from a stray cat or dog swinging through the neighborhood , etc. Now The insecticide within the medicine itself basically only kills an adult flea. It won't usually kill a flea egg. But The insect growth regulator, that's also within the medicine , is capable of penetrating the egg and doing damage. But its not a 100% guarantee all the time. Eggs can still tough it out and end up hatching. But luckily if the egg survives....the larvae that hatches from the egg won't stand a chance with the growth regulator and never be able to mature. But That's if it comes into contact with the growth regulator. Flea eggs don't attach themselves to pets hair like a lice egg on a human will. Once a flea lays them...the eggs can fall off your pet into the yard or into your carpet or down into couch cushions or small cracks in hardwood flooring....just about anywhere. The egg may have not even stayed on your pet long enough to get enough contact with the medicine to even try to damage it. Which is why its important to treat the home and yard as well. But again..insecticides alone usually don't do nothing for flea eggs. So for inside the home..besides vacuuming thoroughly daily and washing all bedding and whatnot...use a indoor safe insectide mixed with a insect growth regulator around the home anywhere you can possible. This will hopefully target any eggs or larvae and prevent them from ever getting into adulthood along with killing any adult fleas that may be running rampant . Now lets Say you haven't started treatments yet...and you already have larvae that have matured into the next stage of life (when it turns into the pupae stage...which is when it forms its cocoon before hatching into a jumping adult flea) ... ..insecticides nor insect growth regulators will do damage because they can't penetrate the cocoon of the pupae. So once they get to the pupae stage...basically you have a biting, egg laying adult flea on its way to hatch and there is nothing you can do. Which is why even after doing treatments in the past you may have noticed a couple days later it seemed as though a million fleas came back. So this leads to me saying that if you already have fleas and you don't treat your yard or home...this product will not likely show results on its own in any reasonable manner. Also Fleas need to have a blood meal in order to lay eggs... But it don't have to be a pets blood. They can bite us humans as well. If your pet is treated....great...but it don't mean any fleas roaming rampant inside your house will encounter your dog first. Of course some will...but others may encounter you first.....and then lay eggs. And of course we don't wear flea collars or flea medicine. So unless this same flea does happen to encounter your dog or come in contact with treated areas inside your home to get a lethal dose and die before laying its eggs....the next thing you know you got a happy flea who avoided death plus a bunch of babies along the way unless treatments destroy any eggs or larvae before they can mature. So the cycle can become hard to break if you don't properly treat and clean your home to rid of them. As far as treating the yard ....in my opinion ....its the biggest thing. Because fleas thrive off of warmth and humidity. But as far as treatment. Use liquid. And obviously this means you have to use a sprayer. But you need a good one that can really saturate through the grass and down to the dirt. Them little small sprayers that people use for weed killing products and whatnot wont do you much good. For yard treatment...don't use them bug killing granules that say they kill fleas. They will. But only the adult fleas and do nothing for the other flea lifestyles . so they do no good for fleas. Also them liquid flea branded yard sprays....don't waste your money. They are garbage. I use bifen xts insecticide. And mix it with tekko pro...which is the IGR (insect growth regulator). Make sure you are consistent with initial treatments. You can do 2 or 3 once a week back to back treatments of this at first to really fight back and then just maintain it routinely once a month and you should find yourself flea free in the yard.. The products I use are a bit more expensive. But its for a reason. Once you get your yard and home under wraps ... then this topical product you apply to your pet will do its job and keep hitch hiker Joe from re infesting your property or your home. And it will save you money compared to buying the high dollar topicalss or pills the vet wants to overcharge for. Hopefully any info I've given can be helpful to anyone interested in buying this looking for flea relief that lasts.

Effective & Easy to Use — Great Value for 6 Doses!
PetArmor Plus works exactly as advertised. I used it on my medium-sized dog, and within a day I noticed a big reduction in scratching. It protects against both fleas and ticks, and I really appreciate that it’s waterproof, so baths aren’t a problem. The applicator is simple to use and doesn’t irritate my dog’s skin. Getting 6 doses for this price is a great value, especially compared to the expensive vet brands. Highly recommend for reliable monthly protection!

Worked a while but failed in end
Used this product for at least 4 months. I am in a hot spot area for fleas and ticks. This stuff worked on my dog for a while then noticed my dog itching obsessively. Upon checking him as we do every month we found fleas. I dont know why it stopped working after months of use but all three of my animals were using this same brand of flea and tick treatment on same day every month and they all have fleas now. May work for you animals but consistently checking your animals during their treatments will help.

Review updated 2x over 10 month period; does not work when needed most
This is the first time I’ve used PetArmor Plus. I usually use Fronline Plus for dogs. This is cheaper, and I have many pets. So, I thought I’d try it. I also used Frontline Plus for dogs, on my cats. I never had a problem. It’s always worked well on both species with no side effects (both Frontline Plus for dogs and Frontline Plus for cats have the same ingredients...some flea meds for dogs cannot be used on cats, and vice versa, because of certain ingredients being dangerous for one or the other). This product is supposed to have the same ingredients as Frontline Plus for dogs. But, I can’t find any feedback yet on people using it on their cats, like they do with the Fronline Plus for dogs. So, I might wait a bit before trying it on my cats, too. It’s cheaper to buy this way and use on dogs and cats instead of buying separately for each species. I found out this little trick from several animal rescue sites that buy packages for large dogs and divide doses depending on weight. You have to know the correct dosage to give and use a capped vial and a syringe (without needle). So, don’t just start doing it without having correct info. As for my dogs, it has been about 2 1/2 weeks on PetArmor Plus, and it seems to be working still. It did take a few days to kill off all their fleas. But, I’d ran out of flea meds, and my pets had fleas when I put this product on them. They usually do not miss monthly doses. So, they haven’t been without it in the past, and probably didn’t have fleas at the time of each monthly treatment. A few fleas got in my house while they were not treated. Pets are doing ok now, and I haven’t seen any fleas. But, it is early November in NC. It’s been cold, but not really cold. It still gets up to upper 50’s often, and low 60’s on occasion, and gets down to upper 40’s. It’s only got into 30’s a few times. Not as many fleas are hanging around outside. But, fleas have not been killed out by freezing temps yet this season. Overall, I think it seems to be working pretty well. I’m giving 4 ⭐️ since it seemed to take a few days to get rid of fleas. Frontline Plus works quicker. I will continue to use this because of cost-effectiveness if it holds up. I hope to find feedback on giving it to cats soon, too. 😉 Update: it is end of February 2019, we are getting many days of 60 degree weather again. So, we’ve been seeing some fleas here and there, here in NC. This product lasts about 3 weeks, give or take...not quite a whole month. Indoor environment is always warm. Obviously, fleas like warm environments. So, we’ve had to continue giving this because of somewhat mild winter. I didn’t have to give this in January. But, I began again beginning of Feb. I also decided to try this on my cats since Frontline Plus for dogs also works on cats. Both my cats seem to do fine (and have received 2 doses of this so far), like they did with the Frontline Plus for dogs. So, I am able to give this to them, too, without having to buy a separate kind for cats. Again, know your dosing if you decide to do this. I don’t like that this product is quite a bit more oily in the fur, and takes longer to dry than Frontline Plus. The oilyness seems to go away within 24+ hours...not as quickly as Frontline, but I can deal with it. I have 2 chihuahuas that will groom each other, and try to clean it off. I have to keep them separated the day I put this on them (as I did with any other flea med). If they lick it off and ingest it, it will make them sick. So, make sure to keep any pets, that like to groom each other, separated the first day of application. This is why it is supposed to be placed on back of neck, so your pet cannot reach it and lick it off. It will make them sick, as will other flea/tick meds. I have learned these tricks from animal rescue sites. I am not a vet. I’m just sharing how it’s worked for me and my pets. Update: end of Sept. 2019-this stuff has consistently gotten worse with every month. I see less and less effectiveness every month since I started using it. It has continually gotten worse with each month that has passed. June and July was a little bad. Ikeptfibding fleas here and there. But, August and Sept have been the worst after application. It hasn’t helped the cat outside at all. (He was a stray that I give this to for relief. It doesn’t help him. He still has a lot of fleas all the time. It seems to help for a few days to a week at most. Even then, I see him scratching often. My inside dogs are still getting fleas. It did seem to get rid of fleas within a few days after application. But, each month, I would notice more fleas getting on them, and they’d bring them in the house and they would get on my cat, who does not go outside at all. In August, this stuff only worked less than 2 weeks on my pets who live indoors and only go out to potty in our fenced in yard or take walks. When I gave it in August, I noticed it never did completely kill the fleas. I keep finding fleas on each of them. I have to comb them with a flea comb every few days to make sure they don’t get bad. Most of my 4 dogs would usually have 1 or 2 fleas when I’d comb them. But, my dog with long fur had 10-12 last time I combed him, which is a lot. That is not good enough for me. When your pets keep bringing in fleas, they get in your home. Before you know it, they start feeding on us, then get in the carpet, start laying eggs, and hatching more fleas if you’re not careful. I added a pic of my feet that got bit up by fleas a couple weeks ago, because the pets just keep having more and more on them. I haven’t went anywhere or been outside for any period longer than 5 minutes. This happened one night. I noticed itsitting here on the couch. I like to sit here undera blanket. My 2 chihuahuas always get under the covers and lay at my feet. A flea must have jumped off one of them, and decided I was it’s next meal. I looked up flea bites online, which look like the bites on my feet. It’s effectiveness of this stuff had just went downhill all summer. At the height of flea season, which is August and Sept, you don’t want to be using flea prevention that doesn’t work. I gave it 10 months...most people don’t do that. I won’t purchase this again. I’ll be going back to Frontline Plus.
