Nite Ize S-Biner MicroLock Stainless Steel - S-Biner with Locking Dual Sided Gates - Keep Keys Secure with Carabiner Key Holder - Black (2 Pack)

These are great little carabiners. We've bought the brand before and they are so useful and versatile. Small, so they fit a lot of places, the little lock on the side is great for securing whatever you're using it for, double carabiner so you can put things on both sides (and organize what is on each side). Easy to use, durable, just a great tool! I got these for stocking stuffers for all my kids (they are older kids so use keys, etc.).

These are very handy little carabiner clips. I initially purchased a set of two Size #1 S-Biners as part of several different items I wanted to try out along with several other products in my search for the most suitable combination of rings and clips to organize my keys, and I've since added a selection of these S-Biners for various uses. What I've learned is that Nite Ize produces these S-Biners in various sizes and materials and finishes, each suitable for certain purposes. They're all well made, and in my opinion they are all a good value. I particularly like the locking models that are also available, both this small MicroLock size, and the larger SlideLock(see the models at the bottom of the listing below). This locking style S-Biner is particularly useful since it reduces the chance that something attached using this clip will become accidentally released, which is something I've had happen when using the non-locking style slip. This particular locking S-Biner is only available in the very small size, so for someone who wants the locking feature then the other locking style should also be considered since it's available in two larger sizes. After going through a mini research project of my own in order to both determine the relevant dimensions of the various sizes, as well as find the best listings for them on Amazon, here is a guide to simplify this process for others. The size and weight ratings for the plastic models are comparable to the metal S-Biner's. I love these things. And they also seem like a good deal, compared to all the other carabiner-type things I have had occasion to buy. The first thing to understand is that the length of these, longways, is barely longer than a regular-sized keyring. They are also as thin as could reasonably be imagined, so they don't create overmuch clunkiness on a keyring. The lock is a bonus, which adds value if you are securing an item you are afraid of losing. This is excellent for an item you both need to be ring-free--easily--and able to be detached, with carabiner, from the keyring for securing to something else. The little o-light mini in the attached picture is an example. Most of the time I'm detaching it with the carabiner. But in order to charge this particular light, I have to remove it from the carabiner so it can be plugged in. This makes that much more effortless than going through the keyring removal process. All in all, I can imagine many application for this little carabiner s-ring, and I would highly recommend it for anything else you can dream up.

I ordered the to use on my dog's collars and harnesses to attach their tags and lights to. And I have to say they work pretty dang well. I kept having to replace the key-chain style rings every couple of months because my dogs are big rough-housers and between the gnawing and wresting the rings would eventually get snagged and stretched out. We've lost a few name tags along the way! I finally decided to try something different. I bought 2 sets of these. I use one that I attached to the loop on the back of their harness which has a backup name tag in case their collar comes off for some reason, and I have the other one attached to their neck collar which holds their rabies/license tags. Although these locks are small they fit perfectly onto the large D-ring of their collars [so much easier than getting those keychain ones open]. The black is very simple and sleek, blends right in with their gear so you hardly see it at all. We live on the beach so these have been exposed to lots of sand and salt-water, not to mention the sharp end of dog's teeth, and they still look brand new. The only thing that kept me from giving it a full 5-stars is that twice I have noticed that the little latch had come out of place leaving the carabiner essentially open for things to fall off of. I won't rag on that issue too much, since I'm sure they weren't designed with the intent to be chewed on by playmates, but it is still something. Don't get me wrong, I would definitely buy these again in the future when we need them and honestly might just buy some silver ones to use on my actual car keyring. Definitely a great product!

Yes these are very small but depending on what you are using them for is what makes them great. I have a walking cane that needed a new wrist strap, the one I bought used velcro around the can and then the strap. The stap was attached to a very small string which I didn’t trust. So, I purchased these “Nite Ize S-Binder MicroLock” 2pk and attached to the velcro hook and the wrist strap itself and it worked out PERFECT! Being small and lockable is peace of mind. Highly recommend!!
