Vintage Tone Alnico 5 Humbucker Bridge Pickup for Les Paul Style Electric Guitar, Chrome

I ordered this pickup based on the excellent results inhad from the Wilkinson single coil set of 3 I bought several weeks ago. They were brilliant sounding, with Rich tone.This Vintage Tone PAF Alnico pickup is a tonal monster! It sounds better than my 57 classics in my Les Paul, and the burst buckers in my other Les Paul. I am seriously contemplating replacing my Gibson pickups with a set of these!They have a crisp attack, with a perfect searing mod tone reminiscent of some of the classic Sounds on some of my favorite albums. It's a perfect blend of lows, mids, and highs, so much so that I didn't need to EQ anything in the mix , just my normal amp settings. The glassy sound through a tune amp with this pickup is so satisfying, that I can't put it down.I'm now a believer in Wilkinson pickups. I've searched for tone just like every other guitar player out there. We all know pickups play a certain rilemin this search. I've tried numerous pickups, EMG, DiMarzio, Seymour Duncan, Gibson, Fishman Fluence (my current favorite active pickups!), EPIPHONE pro buckers, and many others. I've had great results with those brands and uncovered sounds I use on certain tracks / live events, but I've always searched for that sound like I heard on Zeppelin, GnR, AC/DC, and other classic rock tracks. I've been able to get close, but never satisfied that I'd found "it"..... Until now!TL;DR - Buy these pickups and be as amazed as I was with what you hear. Setup your preferred height, dial your favorite setting in, and rock out with the best sound I've heard to yet for this price!

Wilkinson rarely disappoints. This has a nice vintage PAF sound.

I was looking to replace the harsh and brittle sounding humbucker in my 1987 Yamaha rgx612 with something hopefully warmer sounding. I had a $25 gift card and thought I'd take a chance on this pickup.I couldn't be happier with the sound of this pickup. It's warm but articulate, full spectrum sound. I was quite surprised with how it completely transformed the guitar.

Very impressed with the tone and output of these pickups. I originally bought a neck pickup for one of my guitars and was so impressed that I bought 2 of these bridge pickups for a couple of other guitars. For the price and tone you can't go wrong , especially for a fraction of the price of SD's!

Once you've tried this pickup, you'll be asking yourself "why did I spend so much on pickups" prior to this purchase. Absolutely stunning tone, incredible dynamics that others cannot match for so much less. Buy this now and you wont regret it.

I got this to upgrade my Tele from an SS to a HS style. This pickup sounds really good. I also got a push-pull control for the tone so I could split the coils. I was still able to retain that Tele twang. I will be buying more of these when I do more builds.
