Best Bee House on the Market!
The bees around our koi pond LOVE these little houses! They have moved into every single hole, hibernated in there through the Illinois winters, and they come out in Spring. We bought another bee house that's a lot bigger and fancier-looking but not a single bee has moved into that one. I think the styrene cover on the Armstrong bee house keeps predators (hornets, wasps) away and the bees know this. Great nature project for kids to enjoy and the bees need all the help we can give them!

Four Stars
It's really beautiful and seems sturdy, easy to attach.....still waiting for bees to find a home here.

I've enjoyed mine.
I bought my bee house in 2018 and have enjoyed watching the house being used by a variety of insects. It's fun suppling a home to the pollinators.

Easy to put up
Easy to put up. Love the fact it is insulated,so no need to bring in for winter. Placed it as suggested, east morning sun, near my pond, mud and water. Its been up 2 weeks but haven"t seen bees near it. But today, I found one tube filled and capped with mud. Its on a post approx 45inches from ground.

What I expected
This will be a good weather proof house on the outside. The tube tunnels the bees will lay their egg sacks in are not removable. Knowing what I do now, I will use the house, but will use LINERS to keep it disease free from parasitic wasps and pollen mites. I only say that because I ordered a house quickly with good intentions before reading more about it. Still can work, but cleanliness (using tube linters) and over wintering them in refrigerator for the health of the bees is paramount. Also, don't leave house out all year long. Without doing these things, the bees will have a dirty home next season. Good Luck!!!

Impressive
This item is a total unknown to me, as helping bees to proliferate has just become a new interest. The nest is constructed amazingly well, but I don't know yet if it works.

Faulty item
When I attached it to a tree, it came apart and I haven't been able to put it back together. The screws that keep it attached to the green plastic base do not screw into the tube so it is not secure. Unfortunately when I went to hang it my "return window" had ended. Good idea, poorly constructed. I was not able to contact the seller either.

Bought one of these for my husband a few years ago and were so happy with it that I bought one for an aunt last Christmas. When I bought the one for my husband I wasn't really sure if bees would actually move in but thought it would be a fun thing to have. We were so pleased to not only have bees move in, but be able to watch them fill in the holes. Each day it seemed as though another one was filled. This is the thrid year we've had ours and the bees keep coming back. It will be the first year my aunt has hers, but I am sure she is going to enjoy it.
