Easy read, lots of "common sense" ideas.
This is a great read for any school that is planning on implementing a device programme in their school. There are a lot of "common sense" ideas that people do not always think about beforehand, and these are fleshed out nicely within the book. Heather and Patrick go into how to set up a programme from scratch, looking at both the big picture, but also at what needs to happen inside each classroom. Every grade level head/ subject head / principal / school leadership team should read this, even if you already have devices in your school. Hoping for some translations to happen, so this book becomes a standard for international schools.

Practical tips and suggestions
As the first days of school approach, teachers prepare procedures that will run their classrooms smoothly and efficiently. But how does the use of technology fit in? Dowd and Green take teachers from the basics to a fully operational, tech-rich classroom that will help develop a community of responsible digital citizens. Even veteran teachers will love this easy read as they incorporate more technology in their classrooms.

Sound, Common Sense Ideas
I disliked the command to be engaging, not boring because it was not followed up with detailed examples of how to accomplish this feat. Dowd does offer a few ideas to help, but adding some case studies/examples would be more effective. I liked some of the practical tips such as “ask three before me.” I would recommend this book to new teachers or teachers new to 1:1 schools. It does not offer much to those with 1:1 teaching experience.

Must Have! No matter where you are in your EdTech journey
As an EdTech Coach, I found this book to be a valuable resource for teachers wanting to integrate more technology in instruction. The tips and tricks are spot on, and the advice the authors give comes from much experience. I could relate to many of the scenarios from my own journey as a teacher going 1:1 with devices in the classroom as well as in the support I give the brave teachers taking the plunge!

Buy it to run a more productive classroom
This is a topical book for teachers. As we prepare students for their future, we increasingly allow and use technology in the classroom. How to maximise the tech for learning while minimising the behaviours that decrease learning is a challenge for many teachers. The book is full of sensible advice and tips on how to manage this modern classroom. These are tried classroom methods and not academic theories. The book is concise, well-organised, well-written.

Three Stars
Would be a useful book for a new teacher or someone less familiar with using devices in a classroom.

This is a pamphlet at best!! Awful!
68 pages!! 68 pages!! This is not a book! I would not have paid $5 for this if I had known how little content there was. This is such a rip off. It is filled with limited/ obvious content that is readily available online. How can anyone put their name to this nonsense???!!! Very annoyed and cross.
