Marcy Hollow Curl Bar and Dumbbell Handle Set with Spring Collars

Don’t listen to the bad reviews, they may have updated their product since then, but still this is a good product, adequate weight, perfectly stable, good grip with gloves, the weights do spin, but hey control your muscles, makes the workout better, they look professional, the dumbbells are a little long, but not too bad, I Love that this is a good deal for both bars so you can do many different workouts, recommend the buy fellas.

Boyoboy, am I ever happy with my new equipment! I am 58 and female, also handicapped since last year. My Physical Therapist recommended working with some weights. I don't think she meant dumbells and barbells, but that's what I ended up getting. Well, I liked the thought of them being adjustable. I bought a weight set that has 2 14" dumbbell bars, 4 3# and 4 7.5# weights, also 4 star collars. I bought seperately 4 1.25# and 4 5# weights. I am right now working with the 3# weights. I wanted to be able to work with some of the other weights without having to switch them out. So I bought this set of bars. They are working out (no pun intended) so very nicely right from the beginning. I set up the 14" bars with the 5# weights. I put my 1.25# weights all on the big 47" bar to help me get used to it. This is really nice to quickly switch from one set to the other set, then to the big one. I am really enjoying my weights now, and I am contemplating buying 2 or maybe 4 10# weights for the big bar. I can use my weights in almost any increment between 1.25# to 33.5# per hand on the dumbbell bars. Anyway, I am so happy with my new bars. I highly recommend these. They are an awesome price too!

Not very high quality. I was expecting the sides of the ez bar and dumbells to be able to spin with the weight which they don't. This causes any movements to deal very unnatural. They still work fine but whenever I'm doing anything like skull crushers or curls they simply just feel very unnatural which takes away from the exercise. I bought them used and I don't know what happened but I am missing four of the clips for the sides. This means I only have enough clips for one of the dumbells which takes away the whole point. I'm lucky I already had some clips at home or else I would have only been able to use one at a time. But that was more with shipping than quality. However, despite all these problems, I would actually say these aren't that bad for their very low price. By getting them used I only paid $40 for all of it which is why this isn't 2 or 3 stars. Also, this isn't exactly a good or bad the bars themselves are very very light. Like under 10lbs which I wasn't expecting.

So the curl bar arrived today and it had a weird smell. Even after wiping it down with Clorox wipes, a nice smelling kitchen spray and another antibaterial spray the smell is still lingering. Also the bar is hollow which surprised me since I don't believe it was in the product description. All in all it was good value for money. I only have 2 x 10lb weight plates on there. I don't know how much weight it can really take but since it is hollow, i don't want to take a chance on the bar falling apart mid work out and smashing my foot. Edit: it has been a few days and I've totally changed my mind. It is a great deal if you get it. I have found it is quite sturdy but I plan to use no more than 60 lbs on it since it use it for upper body only. I'm barely at 36 lbs now. Also if you make a slurry with baking powder and vinegar, rub it on the metal bar and the 2 handles and then wash with dish soap the smell is gone! Since it is hollow I may try to put sand into the handles as additional weight and to make it more sturdy but making sure it will not go above the 100 lb max. Also I don't have enough plates to use the dumbbell handles but I'm sure I will add to my home gym at some time. I have other weights I can use anyway.

Great item to have

This is a decent product. It comes with clips to hold onto your weights to put on the bar. You do need heavy weights to put on the bar as the bar is super lightweight and Howell inside. It is not a full metal bar and is not very heavy. That would be my only downfall with this product is that I was hoping to use my 10 pound plates that I already had purchased to put on the bar itself to have a bar to use however, being that the bar is so lightweight and howl inside it makes it a challenge for this and I will probably need to purchase heavier plates to go on the bar itself overall it does to point what I want it could be a lot better for the price I paid for it I guess it’s worth the money for a home gym my fiancé likes the product a lot

The bars are resistant, light and very easy to handle. The set includes everything necessary to vary my workouts. Very good option if you are setting up your gym at home.

For the price, this is an amazing deal and good quality!

I love these, I have been using them for the past year and I love them, They are everything I needed to complete my home gym in one bundle. they are a bit lighter than I was expecting, but that does not hinder it's weight capacity, I am able to still lift as much as I usually do at a commercial gym without the bars failing or even show signs of failure. They just simply work, and do a damn good job at it. I recommend these fully.
