Ecstasy/Extase [DVD]

While looking for different versions of "Extase" for a digital restoration project, I got this British VHS since it lists the credits for the (now rare) French version of the film. No such luck - it's the same German re- release from 1950 that can be had at DVD quality from Edition Filmmuseum. The VHS is a decent transfer but cannot be compared to the nice over scanned DVD. It seems the person who wrote the credits for this VHS did not ascertain which actors are actually in the film. The film itself is great, a must for anyone interested in cinematography as an art, but no reason to get an inferior quality version.
