Doesn't leak and also provides some level of tamper resistance in that it seals so well it takes some extra effort to open it. These are fabulous containers, I got a large pack and use them as tupperware. They all nest together in the cabinet and don’t take up a ton of space, and they hold up pretty well in the dishwasher. I wouldn’t recommend microwaving them, as the plastic gets pretty soft.I particularly like how inexpensive they are, so I can feel good about sending them home with leftovers when I have friends over (and not expect them back)
