Ceiling Fan Oil 8 Oz Universal Fan Lubricant

We had a loud sound coming from the fan when we turned it on. I bought this oil to trouble shoot it before we decided to get a new fan. I covered everything with plastic on the bottom and started squirting it into the fan in different areas. Slowly once it started moving around, it went away. This oil saved us from an expensive fan replacement.

I bought this when my fan started making intermittent squeaking sounds. Turns out my fan doesn’t need oil after contacting the manufacturer. But I already bought the oil and it was in transit. What to do?! We’ll, it’s oil. So I lubricated all my door hinges, and guess what. Yeah. It works on that too. Thank you fan oil now being used for other stuff… oil.

It's as thin as water and without a tube or snout to make it easy enough to use.I emailed the maker, uniproducts.com, two times to ask 3 important question: what is the oil's weight?; does it contain additives like detergents?; and is it appropriate for very old ceiling fans with a bottom thrust bearing in a surrounding oil bath? They did not answer either message. Do they just buy some other company's oil and not know? Do they not care? Or do they not want me to know the answers?We should never buy products from such a company so disinterested in customer satisfaction. And Amazon should drop this company as a vendor.
