Best production Chefs knives available
As a retired Chef of 20 plus years, I can say without a doubt Victorinox fibrox handled knives are easily the best knives I ever used for the value they provide. No, they aren't the fancy forged knives you see on the cooking shows, I've owned many of them as well, but as far as every day use in real production kitchens these stamped knives are your best friend.Very sharp, easy to sharpen yourself as well, (try sharpening a dull forged knife) and easily replaceable if lost or broken. I saw many Chefs surprised when their expensive forged knife was dropped and the tips broke off, only to find the "lifetime" warranty did not cover this damage. The fibrox handle is definitely the best I've used, wet or dry it allows firm control for 10 minutes or the grueling 12 hour shifts I often worked. This set has a good assortment of the most needed knives, I added a 10 inch bread knife and was good to go for most anything.Do yourself a favor and stay away from the forged stuff, it looks cool on TV but this stamped set of high quality steel is what you really want.

Can’t go wrong with these
I bought one of my first knives when I started in the restaurant industry 12+ years ago. The cost to quality on these is unmatched. One of the first things I tell my students are that a full knife is more dangerous than a sharp one and these knives really hold their edge. The fact that you get the hone to keep the edge on the knives is a bonus because a lot of people don’t use them or understand how they work. I highly recommend this set as a gift for someone who doesn’t have sharp knives or for yourself if you have a trashy set.

Quality knives, reasonably priced.
Sharp, but need sharpening quite often. They are durable and they make my time in the kitchen faster and much more enjoyable. Worth every cent. These are the nicest, highest quality knives I've ever owned. I'm an semi-professional chef that cooks and prepares almost all of our family's meals at home. I can not afford higher end knives. For the price I'm extremely satisfied and would order them again, and I would recommend them to others looking for a quality, affordable knives. I have dropped mine on the tile floor of my kitchen and they are fine (you cannot tell they have ever dropped). I drip-dry them in a strainer, no rust (and I live in Florida). I have not put them in a dishwasher though so don't know how they would hold up that way, I don't want to risk it. I primarily use the larger chef knife for nearly everything making my older/cheaper knife sets basically obsolete. I don't love the pairing knife, it is sharp and works well but it is hard to tell which side is the sharp side and it's a bit long for my taste (I have very small hands). All in all I am completely satisfied with these knives, I love them. They save me so much time and work (which is a huge plus as I have a repetitive stress injury that can flare up during meal prep with my other knives).

Excellent
These are really great knives for the amateur home cook. I think they make a great wedding gift. I bought the individual chef knife over a year ago and put it in the dishwasher regularly. I don’t recommend this if you want to keep the blade sharp. I have since sharpened that one and we no longer put any in dish washer and these have been like new over the past couple of months. Highly recommend.

Perfect for a first time cook. They’re sharp, light travel weight, and good deal
Title says it all, they serve me well for my job as a assistant chef, they’re sharp, good brand, great deal, and they’re light weight for travel.

Great quality, functionality and durability for the price
Owned Victorinox knives over several decades. ALWAYS quality with great function and reasonable price for what you get. You can buy cheaper but these last and keep an edge. My fave

Feels cheap
I was very excited for these knives but sadly disappointed. The handle feels equivalent to a dollar store knife and I used them a few times and already noticed scratches on the steel. It feels like the knife will constantly slip or break because everything feels so cheaply made and bendable/breakable. The knives are certainly sharp but thats more of a problem due to the feel of the handle. Last week was the first time I haven't used the honing tool since and I can already tell the sharpness is not made to last unless salvaged. This is certainly not a cheap set so pretty disappointed.
