Root Industries Type R Complete Pro Scooter - Lightweight, Durable, and Professionally Ridden

Okay. Here’s the deal. This scooter arrived and will be a Christmas gift for my 12 year old son. He’s 5’5 and 150#. Like most 12 year old boys, he does NOT move with grace. He plops, slams, jumps and bounces off of everything. He needs a scooter that can take a beating. Something durable and well made. My boys have been riding scooters since they were 2&3 years old. It’s their preferred mode of transportation when it requires physical effort. My boys have been through their share of scooters. We started with the 3-wheeled and evolved upwards I’m willing to invest in a quality scooter. This scooter arrived and it is GORGEOUS!! It’s the multicolored one and it’s a beauty. The deck is strong and well made. The wheels are strong and slick. Let me tell you about the packaging! It’s got cushioning and parts are fastened with zip ties. Instructions are easy and wrench and Allen wrench are included. It’s secured inside a scooter box inside of a larger square box for transport. I can’t post pictures yet because it’s a Christmas gift. My son doesn’t like to read so I have no worries he will read this review. No YouTube reviews either. Once he opens it for real, I’ll take pictures of this beauty. Really well made and VERY happy with the packaging. I really can’t wait for him to ride this beauty. The wheels are amazing! This thing will ride smooth. Can’t wait!!

I purchased this for my grandson for Christmas. It is just as described and he absolutely loves it! Rolls very smooth and very well made. It should last him a long time. Update: It is now late November and there haven't been any issues with this scooter. I definitely recommend this scooter to anyone who loves to ride at the skate park and do tricks.

Pros: • Feels really sturdy and solid • Smooth ride, easy for my son to handle • Matte black looks sharp • Quick to put together Cons: • A little heavier than expected, not as easy to carry • Grips could be softer Overall, my son loves it and rides it all the time. Just a couple of small things, but definitely a good buy.

My nephew wanted another type R scooter for Christmas, we got him the gold and it's great. Fits him perfect and you get about 2-3 years out of each one. They changed the design just a little bit all good upgrades

Very nice, strong and well built professional level scooter. My 8 year old loves it and he's been putting it through its paces. Only one time the bar clamp came a lil bit loose
