An everyday British bickie, like a better graham cracker
OK, even though these biscuits come from the same country that brought us Marmite, and the word "digestive" may not seem very appealing, if you like graham crackers, you should love these. The "digestive" description just refers to the health and nutritional benefits of the type of whole wheat flour (AKA graham flour) used in the ingredients. (In the US, graham crackers were also originally created as a "healthy treat," though Americans were clever enough to market them without any reference to digestive benefits in the name). I grew up eating these as an American transplant in England, where they were just "McVities bickies," and great for dunking in milk, tea or coffee. Their mild, nutty flavor comes from the whole wheat flour, and they taste similar to graham crackers, but slightly more dense and a bit more rich. What I use them for most often now is when making crumb pie crusts. The result is a rich, flavorful crumb crust that doesn't require any added sugar and holds together well when cutting and serving. But on the tongue, it has a more tender texture than the traditional graham cracker crust. It just needs a bit of melted butter and a brief, 10-15 minute pre-bake, and you have a delicious pie crust for either cold or baked fillings. And, of course, they still make great dunkers and, in my opinion, much better s'mores.

High quality in multipacks
Fresh and crispy. Remember to put them in Tupperware or bags so the humidity doesn’t change the crisp

The real thing
Love these biscuits. They were a staple of snack life in our travels to several countries. Ubiquitous in the old British empire, including India, a familiar taste when far from home. The 6 pack is nice, and a good value. A lot (almost all) of the cookies were broken. That works out fine for me, but if you want to serve them up, just be aware. Otherwise great.

Best one received
I bought mcvities from Amazon multiple times. These are hand down the best I received from them. They are fresh whole and taste amazing. My only regret is that they are the small size 8.8 oz instead of the 14.

Best of British
Growing up with British parents there was no worry in the world that couldn't be made better with a strong cup of tea and a digestive biscuit. This brand of digestives is solid ( good for dunking) and has a really nice texture. I have found other brands to be too much like a rich tea biscuit - too plain for me. This product comes in boxes which help lessen the broken biscuits, however I don't mind if one or two on either end are crumbled. Great value for a true British tea dunking biscuit. Enjoy!

Favourite biscuit
I used to buy this very often when living in the UK, after came to the US, no major supermarkets carry it. It's a great relief to find it on amazon. Mostly importantly, it's not too sweet as the local made cookies. I generally find cookies and desserts are too sweet here in the US. McVities goes great with milk or tea.
