Bought as a gift after owning one for years
This is such a nifty little keychain. I have used the "box-cutter", bottle opener, and carabiner features quite a bit over the many years I've had this on my keys. I put "box-cutter" in quotes because it's quite dull, but it still cuts through packing tape. The bottle opener also isn't the greatest, but it works in a pinch. This keychain multi-tool comes in for the win when you're in need. It's compact and minimalistic, and it's essentially always accessible because you typically know where your keys are at any given time. I love mine so much that I decided to buy one for my husband as part of his auto-themed V-day gift this year. I highly recommend it!

Exceptional camera tool
Great tool for attaching and removing tripod plates from camera rigs. I just wish the carabiner opening was larger as its hard to take on and off my belt loop.

Worth every penny, but not perfect
The good stuff: this is a handy little tool that's easy to clip onto a keychain or bike bag. Having a flathead surface like this is handy for quick tightening when you don't want to have to roll out the tool bag or multitool. You might not need the ruler much, but the fact that it's with you means you'll never wish you could have measured xyz thing - you can just do it.The not-as-good stuff: This type of bottle opener, being very narrow, means that you have to get right under one of the grooves of the cap. Nite Ize actually makes a carabiner clip-style bottle opener which is much better. That said, all bottle openers of this design have this problem. My DoohicKey came was poorly finished. There are a couple of bumps on one side so that it cannot be placed perfectly against something in order to use the ruler accurately. But this was obviously made to a price point ($5 in this case), so I can't complain too loudly.

Stop using your good, expensive knives for box-opening!
I fell into the trap of using good knives ($60-100 or more!) that were conveniently laying around to open packages... That's a waste of a good knife and can gum up the blade with adhesives!I finally decided to just get a simple tool (not a key from my keyring) to cut open my numerous Amazon shipments and decided on this. It is small and does other things (can opener, wrench for certain hex nuts, and can clip somewhere for convenience!) and was cheap enough to purchase on a whim. I chose this over the box cutters with replaceable or refillable razor blades since I didn't want to bother with keeping those stocked. So far so good! It's always around the kitchen in a drawer or clipped to something and when I need to open a box with tape (plastic or paper-backed), it's not a problem and I don't feel guilty later for using a "real" knife.Keep your real knives sharp and use them for what they're intended for! Use this little thing to open boxes and an occasional beverage!

I Don't See Why You Wouldn't Want One
I have a few different keychain tools, and this DoohicKey is probably going to be the only one with a permanent home on my keychain. Granted, some of these tools have questionable usefulness. For example, I'll probably never use, or even think to use, the wrenches but it's nice to have them in what would otherwise be wasted space. At the very least, this is a bottle opener with some other cool features. The package opener is particularly useful. Sure, you could use pretty much any old key to do the same thing, but not nearly as well. This is a great tool, but there are a couple shortcomings I should point out. First, if you're using it connected to a split ring keychain with other keys on it, like I am, it occasionally clumps up. This is because there is so much space within the gated part (the gate, by the way, is very sturdy on mine). Secondly, the measurements on both the inch and metric rulers are both slightly off. They're about 1/16" short across the length of the scale. This is more funny than anything, as I doubt I'll ever attempt to measure something with this. All in all, this is way better than those cheap aluminum bottle openers that many people have on their keychains. It takes up less space and has a few other uses than just opening bottles. For the price, this makes a great impulse buy or stocking stuffer.

Decent but not great.
Light weigh, feels sturdy enough. Bottle opener works ok, but you can’t really get decent leverage / it feels awkward because you have to rest your thumb along the skinny edge of the tool. Very poor ergonomics. Also the “box cutter” is horrible at opening packages. It either doesn’t cut through the packing tape or it goes straight through the cardboard when you try and push harder.

Love it!
I've had this for a few years and I use it nearly every single day. I work in food service so I end up opening and then breaking down lots of boxes and the edge is perfect for cutting tape without risking puncturing the contents of the box. It gets used countless times to cut packing tape every single day.The tool may not be as ergonomic as some other pry tools, but I've used it to pry a nail head up or to press down one nail that's sticking up. The angled edge works on some Phillips screws and the end works on a flathead as long as you're not in a tight space. I've used this to tighten loose screws plenty of times. Sometimes the best tool is the tool you have with you.The bottle opener isn't the best bottle opener ever, but it gets the job done and that's what matters. I'm never hunting for a bottle opener because there's always one on my keys now.Honestly I love this little tool and would rebuy it if I lose it. It's inexpensive, lightweight, low profile, and sturdy. Another plus that sets it apart from some other similar tools for me is the built in clip. I don't like having to have my keys attached when I use it so it's awesome being able to detach it so easily. That feature is what's really set it apart from other pry tools for me. It's an essential part of my every day carry.
