To tell the truth, I really hesitated to buy this product after I read the reviews and saw so many negative ones. But I really needed one such voltage converter to use my 20 W 220 V appliance. I read the instruction carefully and ordered this 200 W voltage converter. I have been using this converter ever since the day I received it. I also used my laptop and other gadgets at the same time. It worked well and never was too hot or burnt any of my appliances or itself.The point is that buyers should read the manual carefully before you buy or use this converter. You cannot use an electrical appliance which use the same power as labelled on the converter. If you have a 200 W appliance, you should double the power and buy a 500 W converter.

The device does not work, each time burning fuse. I bought 3 devices and all 3 are not working!The return process complicated to my and expensive!,,

Great product! I used it for a foot massage that i bought in Hong Kong, which is analagous to the UK 3 prong system. The wattage of the foot massager was 50W and it worked perfectly with this 200 w transformer. I probably would have been ok with the 100 w system, but I wanted the extra wattage just in case. I can also. Use this for US products and up the charge to 220 v if needed and it comes with the required wall adapters. No settings needed to be to the device. Just plug it in and go. It did have a very strong smell when I first received it, but I I just aired it out outside for a day and the smell went away. Great price for a great item. Would buy again.

I purchased an overlock sewing machine while living in Dubai, a Janome with a 220v and European plug. I knew converters were typically in the hundreds and wasn't sure what to do. After consulting with a local repair shop they said the only option was to purchase a converter. After searching through Amazon, I came across this converter which said it specifically works with sewing machines. It works perfectly! It does make a very faint humming noise but it's nothing compared to the sewing machine noise anyway. I'm so glad I found this converter and at such a low price as well.

This is a smaller size transformer, but its absolutely perfect for our daughters bedroom. We are temporarily living overseas and these are great. The seller sends them in the perfect sized package and they come wrapped in plastic in a box. We're ordered quite a few of these in different sizes and I've already recommend these to other friends living here as well. They have also made these purchases with this seller as well. Can't go wrong with this product!

I bought 3 of them to use the US products in India. They are working pretty good.Customer Service: Since their warehouse is located near to my current residence, I just walked in there for fuses. They gave 4 pairs for free. Voltage fluctuation happens in India, and fuses blown out. There were 2 spare fuses available with each devices, but I lost them somewhere. So I visited to store and get 4 pairs. Warehouse people were very nice too.It is very nice product, I bought STU-200Watt one because I wanted to run xBox 360 (US Version) using that. It is working pretty awesome.Would buy it again for other products too!!!

Recently moved to the USA - voltage on my sewing machine was 220V instead of buying new machine thought I would try the step up / down transformer - worked like a dream came with adapters etc - well worth the money - exceptional value. Since my first purchase I have bought 2 more of these transformers, 1 for my daughters guitar amp and the other her turntable - so much cheaper than buying new equipment .

Opens up a unique opportunity to power EU 220v electronics gear in the US. This is not portable, it has a good heft. I actually find myself using the bonus USB charging port all the time. There's a jumper plug on the back they don't show on Amazon. This let's you select different input mains voltage. It would work just as good converting around 220 or 240 to 120, as it does going 120 to 220. Nice product.
