McFarlane Toys DC Multiverse Superman: Unchained Armor Action Figure

Filling another hole in the collection. Happy to find this figure for retail after missing out on it early in McFarlane's production. Pretty cool looking figure and the articulation and quality you'd expect. Nice to fill a hole too.

I have never read the comic this figure is based upon and to be honest you don't have to read it this figure is awesome all by itself it has an amazing red and blue metallic paint job and looks awesome the head sculpt looks like a cross between a alien (which superman is) and a samurai the wings are a nice touch to it as well just be careful when placing them in his back but, this is not the superman i grew up with (I'm a 80's kid) my superman believed in truth, justice, and the american way this superman looks like a superman that would team up with darkseid to conquer earth and watch it burn all while laughing well done todd mcfarlane well done kudos to you sir.

This figure was wave 1 of McFarlane Toys DC Multiverse. I have my doubts, but in the end this figure is so great, fantastic painting.

This figure gets an 11 for the way it looks but like a 6 for its pose-ability. First the way it looks, I have never had a more beautiful looking Superman toy. The amount of textures and detail in the sculpting is amazing. It almost feels like Superman is wearing MJolnir armor from Halo as it has these platinum colored blue and red armored parts over some kind of composite looking black. The wings are an added bonus to his look. Be careful with the wings as they are not round pegs on round holes and need to be placed a certain way. They extend and rotate giving the impression of a cape. This figure is loosely based on the armor Superman wore in the new 52 limited series Superman Unchained but in my opinion this figure adds more color to it and improves on it. It looks like a Superman mecha suit. But in a good way. Then there's the problems. The figure is heavy like most in this line and he suffers for it. It comes with a stand too small to hold him well without posing the other leg in a certain way. My figure does not stand straight like the one pictured here. It almost feels like a slight design flaw on mine made the right leg just slightly longer than the left. Don't know if it was done on purpose because of the stand. That said, the figure still looks great once you figure out how to pose it. There is no double jointed elbow or swivel arm. But he doesn't need this as this is more of a collectors item than a toy as a well as larger figure more fit to fight Darkseid or the Hulk in a brawl than to hold guns or weapons. Overall a fantastic looking figure that will stand out on any toy collectors shelves.

Was gift for my son, he enjoys it.

This figure is based on a comic book version of Superman where he dons armor. The look of this figure is very cool. It actually looks like a Shogun Warrior or Voltron that has the Superman crest on it. I’m always looking for something different to add to my Superman collection and this definitely fit the bill. Not sure as to playability with the figure. It’s heavy and the articulation points are a little stiff. I’d worry that with constant play it could break. But as a display piece, this figure is top notch.

Great design and color for size of item.

For the design, detail, and the hefty weight of this it is at the very least the best value for the money on any MacFarlane I've bought. This thing is so much heavier than expected and so sturdy I think only kryptonite could bring it down. Definitely a good buy.

Love it ! If you're a hard core DC fan and a collector. Don't think twice. The figure is well articulated with Intricate details and ball joints are fixed for better limb movements. The whole armor figure is resplendent in classic superman red and blue colors!

Great figure part of an amazing collection

Mooi om naar te kijken maar veel te zwak om mee te spelen, benen blijven vast zitten was met de batman hellbat suit niet het geval.

Looks even better than in the photos. Large imposing figure with the great detailing McFarlane are famous for. Nice colours applied well. I wasn't aware of this particular costume, but I have quite a few examples the other version of Superman and didn't need another whilst wanting to support the line to see what else comes out. That may be a problem as collectors will have several Superman, Batman, WW and other DC characters, although judging by this one this line may be slightly better than others.

Per chi come me è appassionato di videogiochi, film e serie TV, le action figure McFarlane sono un acquisto imprescindibile. Modellazione ottima, colori precisi e un livello di dettaglio incredibile. Questa dedicata a Superman (Unchained armor) dell'universo DC è veramente enorme, non ha particolari accessori se non le due grandi ali richiudibili ed inclinabili e la card con i vari dati sul personaggio, oltre alla solita basetta nera. Per chi ama l'universo dei supereroi DC e collezionare action figure, di sicuro è un ottimo acquisto. Servizio Amazon preciso e puntuale come sempre.
