Great for small sourdough boules
These are great for making small sourdough boules. I used them the day I got them, and had no issues.

Makes perfect mini sourdough loaves
I love using this size for my sourdough. I can take a full loaf recipe and split it in 3 and it makes the perfect size for our family. I also like to gift this size. I spray them with some water and sprinkle some flour on them and let them dry and then that helps to keep my dough from sticking all over. Would buy again!

Great for someone who cares what their bread looks like
After long deliberation, I finally decided to get a banneton. I bake 3 sourdough loaves a week, and although I know it's not expressly necessary (you can easily just add a floured tea towel to a colander and use that instead), I knew using a banneton might make my bread a little prettier. This banneton was easy to use- I didn't really feel like I had to work that hard to season it- just lightly floured with my fingers and was good to go. I do not flour it every time I use it. I generally put the bread into the bowl for the last rise and use the the cloth to keep the loaf covered (rather than use the cloth between the banneton and the bread dough) and have been happy with the results.Overall, I would recommend, but only if you care a lot about what your bread looks like. I've made very pretty loaves with my tea towel and colander set up for a lot cheaper price (but they didn't have the pretty indented lines on it!).

Works great!
I purchased the 8.5" basket. It turned out to be the perfect size for my einkhorn sourdough artisan loaf. I was very concerned when I first looked into purchasing a banneton basket, due to the fact that they are not washable. This turned out not be to a problem. I use my basket without a liner--I use the liner to cover the basket while my dough proofs. Though the dough generally sticks a bit when I am dumping it out (even though I heavily flour the basket, clean-up has never been a problem. I just shake the basket out over the sink, knocking it against the sink a few times, to get out the loose flour, then I use a vegetable scrubber to gently brush out any stuck-on bits, and getting into the grooves, then I shake and knock again, repeating as needed. You're not going to get every bit of flour out, but it's just dry flour--harmless. I've used the basket about 5 times now, and I am completely satisfied with its performance. I am currently in search of a cloth bag to store my banneton in because I've notice that it leaves a tiny bit of flour on the floor of the cabinet where I store it, and I'm afraid it will eventually attract bugs.

Liner material quality varies
This is a mixed review, because I've ordered two of these, and the quality of the material for the liner was drastically different between them. In both cases, the proofing basket itself has been the same. Light weight, sturdy... no problems there at all. However, the first proofing basket had a thick, heavy duty liner. Dough did not stick to it, it could be washed without fear. I liked it so much that I bought a second basket. The second basket arrived and the liner that it came with was totally different. Thinner than most t-shirt fabric, elastic that barely had any spring to it... and the first time I put some well-floured dough in it, it became so stuck that I was having to try and scrape the dough off. Large amounts of it got stuck to the fabric and even after repeated washings, it has never come fully off. There was only a couple of months time between these purchases, so I'm not sure if the difference in quality was due to some cost saving measure by the manufacturer, or if it was simply a variation over two production runs. Either way, you're taking your chances with this product and I can't fully recommend it.

Cute
I do a lot of bake sales and samples. These are great. Smaller than a cereal bowl but they have worked out.
