I ordered this when our old living room torchiere suddenly and literally went to pieces - it had developed a serious tilt and the concrete (!) that secured the pole to the weighted base crumbled away as I was trying to straighten it - and I needed a new lamp ASAP. My main criteria were that I wanted another torchiere, I preferred LED to CFL, and I needed next-day delivery. I was slightly dismayed when the new lamp arrived in a box about 10x15x6, but the segments of the pole were very easy to assemble and unlike its predecessor the lamp stands up nice and straight. The shade is plastic but looks close enough to glass. Many reviewers have commented on how bright the lamp is, but I'm finding it adequate but not super bright. I like that there are three light levels on the switch. Overall I am quite satisfied with the lamp and would 100% buy another Brightech lamp. I appreciate their 3-year warranty as well. BTW, the item description is incorrect - this is a single torchiere lamp with NO additional reading lamps, as can be seen in the pictures.

This is a great light… bottom is sturdy, fits perfectly in my bedroom, would have be nice if the sconce was glass instead of plastic. Am happy with my purchase, got the “open box” price, which was half the cost of the original lamp. Note, the info on the page says this light is “dimmable”, it is not, it is a three-way switch.

After having many traditional torchiere floor lamps that look classic in our living room, we decided to try a lighter, more contemporary one instead. The Brightech lamp was a perfect choice. It is light with many features that we like over the heavier torchiere ones. First, the cord comes out of the back near the bottom of the pole (instead of underneath the base). Second, in spite of being slimmer and lighter, the lamp is steady and stable on carpeting. With the heavier torchiere ones, we have to put them on something flat and solid to avoid leaning and tipping. Third, the LED bulb provides excellent lighting that's easy on the eyes and spreads in a calm and soothing way that is more than adequate for reading. Fourth, the design is sleek and simple and fits in with any decor. The reasonable price is a great bonus, too. Maybe due to its weight, the lamp is not super sturdy, but sturdy enough. We gladly join the many customers who posted very positive reviews for a stunning floor lamp.

We needed a tall up-light with different brightness options for a home office with no overhead lighting. Our last Brightech floor lamp with built-in LEDS lasted 6 years with nearly round-the-clock use, but I prefer the ability to change a bulb. This torchiere was easy to assemble. The base is heavy and stable on a flat weave rug. The bowl does not look plastic (though it is). As other reviewers have mentioned, the lamp comes with an oversize bulb that can be seen over the rim of the bowl. I used a smaller-size three-way bulb, and that solved the problem.

Had to replace a floor lamp that got broke during a move. Being that the supply chain issue is rampant around the world, I thought I'd try this one as it was one of a select few available. When I received it I must say I was a little disappointed. The dome is a cheap plastic piece. For almost 50 bucks I would have expected better quality. The bulb is nice and bright. The pole pieces go together fairly though I can see how it would easily strip if you aren't careful threading them together. Also the cord exits the base of the last segment, not the floor weight. Time will tell how this holds up. While it does light up, it certainly isn't near the same quality as our previous one at the same price range. (That one had a larger diameter base and tube structure so was better quality with a glass dome). While I realize it's different manufacturers, keep in mind if purchasing this is more equatable to the 20 dollar walmart specials you find in college dorm rooms.

I now have three similar style floor lamps from Brightech, three different models, and love them all. This lamp was no exception, it was easy to assemble and looks great. Love that the three way LED bulb is included. Very bright. It's so nice to have a physical switch. I'm over the touch controls on lamps, they are so fussy. The bulb and socket are the normal type so it won't be any trouble replacing the bulb. Just in case anyone is wondering you can't leave out one or more pole segments and end up with a shorter lamp. The cord is already inside of the segments and exits the bottom segment before going through the base. If you wanted a shorter lamp You'd have to cut off the cord plug to pull the cord out of the unwanted segments then replace the plug.

five-part pole sturdy when assembled but needs a gentle hand so as to not cross thread. Diffuser is a miss - too light weight and not high enough to hide top of bulb if you’re tall. I swapped out an old glass alabaster-style diffuser from the pole lamp this new unit was to replace. Fit perfectly. Consequently would not recommend for a setting with roudy kids or pets as is now top heavy. But if the lamp is just to sit in a corner, undisturbed, it is totally adequate. Writeup refers to ‘dimmable’. Actually functions as a tri-light with a low, medium and high setting. Nice looong cord. Base adequately weighted for our setting. For the price would recommend if diffuser was not an issue. Nice modern design. The bulb being included is a welcome bonus.

No problem with these, easy to assemble, tri-level switch working. The provided generic bulb is a bit on the warm side, yet adequate for my application (I select bulbs, whenever possible, based on Kelvin and lumens: Kelvin for colour the light produces, lumens for relative power compared with another bulb. The names such as warm white, daylight, etc. are often meaningless from one manufacturer to the next).

Well packaged. Came without a scratch. Solid construction. I was worried it would be really bright gold but the brass luster is what I had hoped. I also appreciate the cord being clear. It’s a shame the bulb they included was a bit too tall. It peeks out a bit from the shade. I had smaller to remedy this. In the future I’ll scout for dimmable leds to take advantage of the 3 brightness levels. The bulb they included still works great.
