book is easy to read and not at all intimidating...making me not feel overwhelmed of the broad topics of coverage of the exam....each topic just gives the most pertinent information about it....level of information coverage was appropriate for the SPEX exam. I appreciated the test taking strategies a lot....thats the skill i wanted to develop more.

It's a good place to begin. Do not... I repeat... Do not rely upon it as your sole source of study material. I highly recommend CRASH Medical Review Videos on YouTube if you need to review the field of medicine.

It is straight to the points. It does not provide unnecessary information.I rate this product 5 on a scale 1-5. Thank you for such a great book, because if I had to read alot of materials with my daily activities,I would not be able to do so.

The book is dated. It is using data that are old & would be/ should be considered wrong on any up to date test.

I ordered this book for a quick review before taking the SPEX exam on short notice. I thought it was pretty basic and but reviewed all the general areas needed to do well on the test. This is good as an outline, but it needs to be supplemented with something more substantial if you need a more detailed review. I don't recommend the flash cards unless you have time to review bulky little cards with tiny print.

could be more updated and more comprehensive; I am not sure yet how well it works, having not taken the exam yet. will keep you posted.

very concise, cliff notes on what I need to know. don't have patience to go through every pediatric illness as a Neurosurgeon.
