Quality is good
The size of letters is good. It’s not small like some of the ones I’ve seen before. My toddlers are learning their alphabets so they really like play with them. So far, none of the magnets have fallen off.

These are the best
I looked at a lot of magnetic letters before choosing these. I love them. I wish the magnets were a smidge stronger, but other than that they are a winner.

No more putting letters in our mouths!
My daughter is 5 years old. She has autism and is nonverbal, but academically, she’s on a 1st grade level. She loves to spell words, both independently and when prompted. These Learning Resources letters are large and incredibly sturdy. These are too large for little mouths which is a good thing if your child mouths or chews objects. We use a small baking sheet to practice spelling but these would also be good on a refrigerator or magnetic board. We bought more lowercase letters, then uppercase and the numbers. We’ve bought some magnetic letters in the past, but we donated them once we found these... they are the highest quality set! I highly recommend for play, homeschool, classroom or therapy! Very pleased!

Keeps my 11 month old entertained
My 11 month old liked to play with my refrigerator magnets, but some were too hard for him to remove and others were not safe for him to play with. I remembered that my mother bought us alphabet magnets for our refrigerator when we were little and how much fun we had leaving messages for each other. My son is still quite young and obviously can't read, so I wanted a toy that would grow with him and letters were large enough that couldn't be swallowed. These letter magnets really are jumbo! Of course, he's attempted to chew on them a few times, but he can't fit them wholly in his mouth. These keep him occupied for a good 20 mins before he becomes preoccupied with something else (hey, this is a lot for a toddler!). I agree with another reviewer that the magnets in the back *could* come out - they simply are glued into a slot in the back - but none of the magnets have been dislodged yet in any of the letters yet in spite of my son dropping them on the floor and stepping on them. I'm not overly concerned about this, as my son is never allowed to play in the kitchen without someone around to watch him anyway. I do note that generally, the magnets are strong enough, but some of the larger letters will slide with little provocation. I have a bottom-mounted refrigerator (i.e., freezer drawer is on the bottom), and this is where the letter magnets are stuck so my son can reach them. I don't get into the freezer as much as the refrigerator. If you stuck the magnets on a door that is constantly slammed, I'm not sure that some of the letters wouldn't slide or fall off. Overall, I am happy with my purchase.

Magnetic Letters
I waited to buy magentic letters since I wanted them to be big enough and not a choking hazard. I had a hard time finding large ones in stores. These are exactly what I was looking ofr. They are easy for my 20 month old to grip and manipulate in her hand and place them on a magnetic board. While she occasionally will try to chew on a letter, they are large enough that there is no way she can swallow it before I ask her to stop. Brightly colored and fun.

Quite large!
I ordered these because others were reviewed as too small. In my opinion, for my purposes, they are a bit large, because I want to use them on a cookie sheet with my grandkids and it is hard to fit all the words they make without removing some of their words. They are sturdy, well made, though, and useful. We do use them, but I just wish they were a bit smaller. The lower case m is about three inches wide, and the letters with "stems" are almost three inches high.

Parfaite!

Every one-year-old should have these! They are BIG and, crucially, lower-case. Introduce one or two to start with, with a word which is meaningful and/or fun to your child, and action if it works, and they will soon be doing the whole set. My one-year-old took to names of people in the family, daddy and mummy, tv characters, nappy, uh-oh!, Pippin, etc. Also things he likes to eat; 'eggie' works. S is just 'sssss' like a snake, O is 'o,o,o' and put the letter over your 'o'-shaped mouth. They live on the freezer, and he has never been pushed to take an interest. Don't wait for school to do it, it's your job, and you'll do it better than one poor soul with 30 children! Your child will enjoy school so much more if they are confident when they get there, and can show what they can do. Give your child the right start now! (and, yes, I have been a primary teacher!) Now he's recognising letters everywhere and I hope he will be reading, like my other 2, by the time he goes to school.

Perfect magnets for my 17 month old to play with when we’re in the kitchen. She loves them! A good size and they all stick fine despite some negative reviews on this. Ours are on a dishwasher to so they even stay on when pulling down the door. Now admittedly it’s only been a week or so, hoping they continue to work as well as time goes on.
