Better Bento Lunch Box - Great for School, Portion Control, and Meal Prep, Green

Bought these Bento Boxes to help me with healthy eating. I'm quite visual and am easily tempted by sushi and huge salad bowls which cost a fortune in the metro area where I work. These boxes are fantastic, I have 2 colors and am considering purchasing more. They are quite slim in nature, so at first I thought there was no way that I could put enough food in them that would satisfy me for lunch. To my surprise, it was more than enough food. I haven't had any problems with leaking as they lock really tight, but I wouldn't trust any container in my designer handbags anyway. I slip a plastic grocer bag over them before putting them in my bag. Two things to pay attention to though, the colorful lines outlined on the top lid should match up with the sections of the bottom. I had put my lid on incorrectly the first day I used it and noticed it once I got to work. Secondly, for such a slender box, it does have some weight to it when its empty so it only gets heavier once its filled to capacity, but after a while I didn't mind that so much either.

Good lunch box. I use it almost every day for a half a year already. Fits into my backpack perfectly. Most of the time food stays in place, yet couple times my salad dressing leaked in sandwich compartment, or tuna salad leaked in my backpack. I always try to make sure it closed properly by pushing the middle part on the cap, but I guess sometimes when I am in a rush, I forget to do it. Would be nice to have a fork or spoon attached somewhere to it, but it is not crucial. Overall good quality and nice size.

I absolutely love this. I've been using it to bring my lunch to work for a month now. The lunchbox is really solid and showing no signs of wear. It's easy to clean. And it's been a great incentive to pack my lunch, I love that the sections stay separated and keep moist foods from making dry foods soggy. Added bonus, the looks of envy from coworkers as they see my lunch. I could put any random thing from my fridge in here and it looks like I prepared something fancy. One day I had slices of turkey, cut up veggies, a hunk of cheese, and a rolled up tortilla and from the looks I got you would have thought it was from a fancy restaurant. Something about food bento style makes things more appetizing. This may not hold enough food for a larger person, but for a small adult female it holds plenty.

Yes, it is leak proof.. I tested it with water and not a drop leaked out anywhere. The compartments are so big i dont even know how to full them all! And thats still with eating a hardy lunch! However, the lid is supposed to be dishwasher safe along with the box itself. The lid does warp in the dishwasher. My advice is to just keep it out. P.s. it's also hard to find a lunchbox to put this in.

The first day with this box, I packed my lunch with white rice and fried fish drizzled with soy sauce and made sure that I pushed the center part to seal the box properly. The sauce leaked out immediately as soon as I turned the box vertically. That is with just a little soy sauce, don't even think about spaghetti or soup. This is such a deal breaker for me, even though I really like how it looks and it seems pretty sturdy.Also take note that the box is pretty thin and don't hold that much food. Since the compartment are so shallows, things like beef stew or meat balls will not fit and I have to make my apple slices extra thin.

Life has become much more easier, 'cos Nw I can pack most of the stuff I cook fr my husband who does not prefer taking more than one box to work as he travels by public commute n wants his box to fit in his back pack wth his laptop. Food does not get mixed up as the product description says, I can gv 10 stars. Only problem is, the rubber inside the lid is not leaving the sauce color but it's ok I'm planning to buy 2 more.

I really like this product and we've been using it daily for 6 months. We've been putting it in the dishwasher though, which I would not recommend doing. The lid has warped and it no longer seals. If you wash by hand, this would be great.

Previous complaints about it being hard to open is not something I've experienced. If you follow the directions and press down on the center when taking off the top, it comes off easily (though I am ridiculously buff as well so maybe I'm an outlier). I like how thin and leak-proof it is so that I can slip it into my backpack rather than having something bulky that I have to carry separately by hand. Overall, I love this.
