Dock Spincast Reel and Fishing Rod Combo, 42-Inch Durable Z-Glass Rod, Quickset Anti-Reverse Fishing Reel, Silver

I purchased this just for fishing in our backyard pond. It arrived, I tied a hook on it, squeezed on some split shot, added a bobber and cast the line out into our pond. Casting was smooth as was reeling in and it reels in fast. Everything worked flawlessly. The drag was easily adjustable and the bite alert supplies a nice old fashioned clicking sound. I like that the handle is reversible as I will be switching it over to the left side of the reel. The 10lb line comes out smooth and not like a bowl of spaghetti. There were the typical loops as you always have, but I had not a single tangle. I sat out on the deck by a fire this evening casting out into the pond and watching our latest generations of Bluegill and Crappie toy with my bait. I can’t wait to hook one of our big Cats with this nice little rig. With luck I'll get a nice big Bass. This pole is supposed to handle it. We'll see...

We bought 3 of these for grandsons’ birthdays. Only used twice so far but I don’t expect issues because of the brand.

Just like what I learned on. Quality setup that my three year old freaking loves. It was his bday present. You could even catch decent bass on it i think. Surprised about the shipping method as it was just in a box, which has a huge concerning bend in it, but all was good. These things are tough.

Very user friendly! My kids 3 and 5 were able to use these last year, and again this year now 4 and 6. They cast farther than the paw patrol plastic one we got my younger and he was so frustrated that he wasn't able to catch much because of the slow retrieve. This real had great feel, and ability for its small size, but still heavy for my little kids. Wish their was a middle ground in closed casting but this is the best we found and my kids would rather deal with this heavy pole that does well. FYI my kids are short and in the 30th percentile or smaller for height.

This is a good quality rod and reel combo. My 4 year old and I fish often and this does the trick. No complaints.

My wife loves the Zebco Dock Spincadt reel. It doesn't aggravate her arthritis in her hands and shoulders. Such a smooth cast and retrieval.

Really good for kids. Not something I would personally use. Kind of flimsy.

Perfect for my 3 year old son. Was tired of tangles with the cheap toy poles you buy at Wal-Mart and Dicks. Did some homework and decided to try this one- excellent for him, stays tangle free, and I am confident I could get a big bass in for him if needed. Easy to cast and gets good distance.
