This Raaka chocolate bar is not only smooth and delicious, its rich, deep flavor is delivered in style. In the hot humid summer this chocolate arrived solid and ready to eat. The insulated packaging was even more effective with the addition of a freezer pack. I’m so impressed this Raaka 100% unroasted dark chocolate will be my new go to chocolate bar.

Absolutely awful. I had high hopes for this vegan dark chocolate, but it was a total letdown. The texture was dry, the flavor was bitter and flat—nothing smooth or satisfying about it. It had a weird aftertaste that made it even worse. I couldn’t even finish it… I took one bite and threw the rest of it straight in the trash. Total waste of money. I would never buy this again.

As a ketogenic diet nerd and plant chemistry geek I became enamored with 100% chocolate to avoid the sugar and for its medicinal properties. In the past year I've tried about 5 different high end brands of 100% dark chocolate. Truth be told there haven't been any that I would say I disliked and would happily buy any of them again. This Raaka; however, stood out as exquisite. Its silky, subtle, not overly bitter, and has a latent acidity that made this not just a supplement...but an experience. Raaka really has their tempering process (or whoever they source it from) really well dialed in. Magical experience. If anyone is interested in stacking with medicinal mushrooms this brand would also be a very nice addition.

I swear if i see one more person saying “its bitter” Like people cmon its REAL dark chocolate. Anywaysss this is bitter OFC but it is also kind of a crunchy texture. I personally think it kind of gives off an after taste although it is great for a midnight snack. I recommend this if you like a bit of a crunch to your chocolate bar and a bit of that dark chocolate after taste. If you want smoother texture without the aftertaste I would look at alter eco…

If you’re looking for sugar free, then you’ll want this. It is bitter and tastes terrible so it must be truly sugar free. However, I won’t buy again because it’s so bitter that I may throw the rest out! If you just want the health benefits and don’t mind the horrible taste, then by all means get this!

This is not a sugar replacement. I love the texture and taste. It can definitely compare to the fancy Swiss chocolates I used to eat. For someone who can never ever have sugar again, this is a life saver. I love that it also adds to my daily iron needs. I actually don’t find it bitter at all but the taste buds change once processed and added sugars are eliminated from the diet.

The texture, taste, and experience of these 100% bars are lovely. The price really isn't that bad if you buy in bulk. They're also using some of the funds to support the growers in Africa, and chocolate sourced from Africa (which contains far fewer heavy metals than South American chocolate) is also important if you're a big-time chocolate consumer like myself! They provide a 3rd party testing document of heavy metals on their website. However, it doesn't include anything about who, where, and when the testing was done which leaves me a bit skeptical of the low heavy metal content shown in the document. Also, would love to get the polyphenol content, and am still waiting for an email back from Raaka on that front.
