does the tape hold in humid weather?

I live in the American south which is considered high humidity. I have had no problem with the paper, including high use paperbacks.

Is this product the hinging tape or the mending tape. They show the photo of the mending tape, but I need the hinging tape.

We use P-90 for repair and reinforcement of 50+ year old scrapbook pages as it resists tearing. Looks strange but makes the pages useable for research and copying. It also works for lightweight hinges for photos. P tears easily and useful for repairs over type or pictures in place of non archival clear tapes that degrade with age. P-90 is not a mending tape for hard cover book reattachment, use a single stitch binder tape for that.
