Why did you pick this product vs others?:I love the old books look so I love it. Like other reviews, there is a smell. But it doesn't bother me like it does for some others, luckily.

If I have to have a box of tissue on my desk, at least it looks good. It did smell of varnish when I first got it so I let it sit outside for a few days and it was fine. Have to use the smaller tissue boxes (like the generic ones) but that's fine by me. Achoo!!!

It's absolutely stunning!! Very old fashioned and definitely worth it!!

Enjoy using this, perfect size, color and weight. It had an odor which that lasted about 4 months, not completely unpleasant, better than a skunk, but not fun to a sensitive nose because it infused into the tissues.

This is a pretty box to hold the tissues. My box of Puff tissues fit into it nicely. I had to trim the cardboard from the opening of the box of tissues back a bit so it doesn't show. It's a large box. I bought it for a bedside table but it's pretty big so I'm keeping it vertical to look like standing books. Works well. It would look good on a coffee table lying flat, I'm sure.

The book box is the right size & a fun design but it stinks! It smells like varnish or something, a very strong, permeating industrial-type odor. And it stinks up the whole box of Kleenex including the tissues. Yuck. I removed the Kleenex and put the empty book box out in the garage overnight in the hope that the smell would dissipate. Instead, it stank up the whole garage. Then I tried putting outside but I could smell it across the yard. I returned it. Too bad; other than the horrible stench, I liked the box.

Super cute for hiding tissues in an office. Made of wood and painted like stacked books, the lid pops up for the tissue box to sit inside. Just adds a bit of class to my office. This uses the oblong boxes of tissues. Not the cubes.
