I had no need for this, but when you’re stuck in your house during a quarantine, you tend to buy things you may not need.Am I upset that I bought this? NOPE!It can connect to your phone, it can connect to your computer. You can take pictures of the things you look at, and it’s great for finding out how clean your hands really are. (I was very happy to find that mine were EXTREMELY clean. My husband… well, I made him go and wash his again)I’m sure it would be great for examining things that you actually need to examine. I can’t relate.FYI: Skin (especially freckles) and dust look DISGUSTING under this thing… consider yourself warned.

When my seven-year-old daughter showed an interest in science, I decided to find her microscope. I wasn’t really looking for a digital microscope but I thought,”Why not?” When we figured out how to get this working on our phone (you have to join its specific Wi-Fi) it was easy to use. She immediately wanted to put it against my beard and her eyelashes and then a beetle and then we found an ancient spider in an old board game that we were going to play and she grabbed the microscope and scanned it as well. We didn’t really go in for high magnification. In fact, we were enjoying the lowest magnification possible. But we had fun and for the price I thought it was an amazing deal. You can take it with you want to go to a lake or a creek or just the front yard. A scratch I had on my hand looked like a horrible wound. The spiders legs were hairy Dash and we didn’t even know that. And the scope itself has lights so everything is bright. I’m not saying this is thousand dollar microscope quality, obviously, but for something to play with and check out bugs and what not it’s pretty cool. I think this would be especially good for homeschoolers or a classroom. I think what was coolest is that you can snap pictures of all of the things that you’re looking at. I have ideas for using it for an outdoor scavenger hunt, an “identify this thing“ project, etc. I’m actually thinking about ordering myself one just to play with. LOL

Not only is the clip cheap, but you need to spend $10 on the whole tripod assembly to get a new one. The clip itself is worth probably 10 cents. I asked in the product forum whether you could buy just the clip and got a very disingenuous answer from the seller that the clip was included with the tripod.To add insult to injury, when I ordered the tripod, they sent me plastic urine cups. Now I need to run to the UPS dropoff to return what should have been a 10 cent purchase.

This could be a fantastic product with a properly elevated tripod. It is next to impossible for me to hold it still and the majority os pics I want to take do not accommodate the use of the tiny stand that is included. I can’t evaluate picture quality, as I have not tried to place an object in position with the stand. The other issue is that you have to snap the photo using a button on the microscope, which is going to create enough shake as to lower the quality of the pic. It would be nice if there was a small cord attached with the shutter button inside of it.

I kept this because it worked minimally and I needed a microscope that could do 50x magnification. the device doesn't zoom. looks like the device does 50X and that is it. the big zoom nob with 50X-1000X doesn't do anything about zoom, but it focuses. there is a X2 digital zoom, but only for phones and not for PC.this is a $20 product because it doesn't Zoom. Wifi is pretty good, but power button is the same as the take-picture button, so sometimes holding down the button to take a picture turns off the device.

I ordered this on December 26. I received it on January 22. I can only review this item until February 5. Unable to figure out how to contact the company, no email address in the paperwork. The light comes on on a camera but I cannot get it to show a picture on either my computer, or my phone. I recommend you consider other similar products. It appears I have no choice but to send it back. Disappointing

It very hard to understand how to upload software and all about adjusting the focus. Instructions are pretty much useless and Utube videos are of little help... Mostly trial and error with this product. But it will do for the most part what it says it will do.

You will get a picture far a day or so before red lettering starts dominating your view field. You will lose the ability to save and send pictures. Guessing you get held hostage by the software, making you pay again to be able to use the device. No forwarning at all. I hate pay to play blackmail
