My Imitation of Christ

This little book is a perfect companion for your purse, book bag, or glove compartment. I recommend it to anyone who is looking for a devotional book. The chapters are perfect for reading while waiting in line, at adoration, or before/after Mass. they are short, which gives you time to contemplate and meditate on what you read.

A truly life changing devotional. This copy has the most beautiful illustrations that make it not only a powerful read but an art gallery in your pocket.

I have one of these and bought this one for a gift for a friend of my who really liked mine. She is very happy with it.

I have only begun to read this book so I can’t give it an honest review yet but so far it is great. I will come back later and add to my review once I finish but highly recommend it. All the books in this series are very good. The wording is a little different and some may have a hard time understanding it.

If you’re a devout catholic who wants to reflect on the way Jesus thought, taught and lived, reading a chapter of this book a night isn’t a bad idea.

I don’t know what rock I’ve lived under as I only found out about this book from the Pray40 Challenge in the Hallow App. However since getting it and feeling the impact it’s made already in my life I’ve repurchased it a number of times to send out as gifts. The lessons and reflections (even though written in the 15th Century) are so relevant for each of us today. And this Pauline edition has been written with the modern reader in mind without losing an iota of the original text. I’m digesting it a chapter a day and on same chapters I need a couple of days to really let the message sink in. This is not a book you can read cover to cover as any other book. To make this book make sense and change your life, you have to let its words marinate in your heart. Believe me. It’s powerful.

This is the a classic Christian go-to. We bought it as a gift for someone coming into the Church and, looking through it, were reminded how valuable it was.

This is a classic. I used to own a copy in Finnish - and then I gave it to my son when he left to Finland. This is a deeply spiritual book which makes you value of how your life is faring in following Jesus. How you measure up? I recommend this book to anybody who wants to test their relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ.
