Three words.Cast Iron & butter! Best pancakes ever

Have used this since my son was 10 he is 27 now. Use to be able to get local but the last few times had to get from Mill. Now Amazon offers it and its actually cheaper to ship thru Amazon

We have always used and loved the Stantons Own Buckwheat pancake mix. It became hard to find and the price on Amazon was too expensive. Decided to try this one and the color was much lighter and literally tasted like a regular pancake mix...no Buckwheat taste. Won't buy again.

Buckwheat pancakes are special.

I grew up near New Hope, NY, where the original mill was located, so for more than 60 years I've been eating these awesomely delicious New Hope Mills pancakes and waffles. I live in Hawai'i now and am thankful that New Hope Mills ships their products all over the country. I love all of their many flavors, but the buckwheat flour is my favorite. It's also a whole grain and is therefore recommended by my dietician. Around the holidays, I treat myself to the pumpkin spice flavor. This product is incredibly affordable! You can get many, many servings from just one bag. Give it a try!

I was hoping for that old time buckwheat flavor. Not in this mix. I could tell when I scooped it out of the bag, it looked more like regular flour. Although the mix on its own it excellent, it is not worth $8.00 a bag when it doesn't taste like another product I've recently tried: Arrowhead Mills Organic Buckwheat Pancake Mix. I want Buckwheat not just regular pancake mix that I can buy at the store for a couple bucks.

This is the only buckwheat mix we like. We use skim milk instead of water. If not they can be rather flat.
