Fountain pen frienedly? Yep!
This is a spectacular budget notebook for fountain pen users. It's big, rough, overbuilt, and sturdy. Yes, you have to buy a 2 pack or 6 pack for the value to be there (a single notebook is NOT worth it at $8, but two for 10 or 6 for 22 is a GREAT deal)The pages are sturdy and stay put in the rough but very sturdy wire binding. the front cover is kind of weak (compared to the rest of this beast), but the back is a VERY stiff piece of cardboard, actually sturdy enough to support the notebook without a table. The first page is a double sided pocket, nice for holding a syllabus and a couple assignment pages. the pages are punched pretty roughly, so they kind of stick together the first time you turn the page, but the paper itself is unbelievable at this price. It's not going to sheen or shade super well (a bit of sheen and shading, but the dry times are conversely very very good) but a wet medium nib and a wet black ink is not going to bleed through enough to prevent double-sided writing. Very little feathering (almost none) and practically no bleeding. The page weight is nice too, not cardboard stiff, but just right for a fountain pen.My only complaint with this paper is the color - it's a little more yellow than ivory (not yellow legal pad yellow, but somewhere between cream and yellow, rather than ivory.) Some inks just don't look good on it, but blues and blacks pop nicely. If you need ultra white paper, this is not for you, but I hate white paper, I prefer cream and ivory paper for less eye strain.Overall, This is my new go-to notebook for copying down my first rough notes in the classroom where I write big and broad and scribble all over, where I can then transcribe it to my nicer peter pauper a5 notebooks. I'm definitely going to buy another 12 pack! If you're not sure, start with the 2 pack, the single is as expensive as a rhodia pad. It's kind of a home-run for the fountain pen user that needs a more disposable, cheap, perforated paper in a proper american size.

Rare wire bound graph notebook
It was required for a middle school math class, and took me forever to find a wire bound graph notebook. Solid construction, quality paper. It looks much darker than the photo, more like light beige. Does not bleed through when using a gel pen. Definite repeat.

Nice Thick Pages
I do not know how I got through my math classes without these. I struggled to keep my numbers lines up in Acct 1, so I bought a pack of these and they are life changing. I have used them for accounting classes, science and statistics. The pages are thick and sturdy and so is the back cover. The price is great for the quality. I press hard when I write and my writing barely visible on the other side. This used to be a big issue and I would never write on both sides of notebook pages because of my writing always showing through. Not an issue at all with these notebooks. I was so impressed with the quality, I now buy the college ruled notebooks from Cambridge for my other classes.

Great notebook
So I got these based on other reviews. I enjoy using these notebooks for college, for any and every subject(currently, Anatomy and physiology). The quad-ruled setup somehow makes my handwriting look really good, and my notes neat. It looks better with any drawings, too. The sheets are not too thin, which is nice, as the ink from one side doesn't penetrate much to the other, which makes it easier to read. The creamy-yellowish background is easy on the eyes, though this was not particularly important to me when I chose this item.I see some reviewers mention the cover not being durable - I keep all my notebooks and schoolbooks in a plastic shopping bag inside my regular bag in which I carry them to school, that keeps them from rubbing against the inside of my bag and other items in the bag, and perfectly intact. But generally, the item description is accurate, so why lower the rating for the item being as described?Well, what else... My classmate saw these and exclaimed he should've gotten quad-ruled notebook for himself too, so I guess people forget about them, with all the regular ruled ones :) I also use them for any and all things I need to write down at home, and for my business notes. What can I say, just love them and recommend.

Not the same quality
Beware what seller you buy these notebooks from. I’m not sure why these are designed differently than the other Mead Cambridge quad notebooks that I have purchased through Amazon, but the ones I just received are considerably darker with more prominent lines than the notebooks I’ve gotten in the past. For my purposes, they are not as easy or pleasant to use. I would like the lines merely as guides so that my notes and sketches are more noticeable and easier to read. I wish there was a way to know which notebooks I am ordering- darker or lighter paper and lines so I would not be wasting my money on an unsuitable product.

Exactly what I needed!
These were exactly what I needed! I am using this for my college math classes and it really helps me to keep the numbers in line. Let me tell you that can make a huge difference when you have a learning disability. I think the color of the grid is just right and the yellow paper makes it easier for my eyes to see vs the glaring iceberg that sometimes white paper. Also the 2 pack was a great value. I will buy these again.

New Mead is darker paper & darker lines
Darker paper & darker lines--they changed their formula so it's harder to see my own writing with fine-tip ball-point pen (and much harder with pencil). This used to be my go-to notebook (4-5/year) but I need to find something else... Paper is fine (maybe a bit less smooth feeling). Perforation lasts well. Just can't see what I've written as easily. I also like how colored pens show up more easily on the lighter paper. Not a fan of the new version.
