If you've never used gold leaf before, this kit provides all the essentials for a six step method that will guarantee brilliant old world results. Kit includes 4, 2 oz. Jars of basecoat, adhesive size, satin sealer and glaze, composition German gold leaf, two brushes, burnishing cloth and instructions. Review: Very nice - This product has all the options you need to make a very nice "gold leaf" project look really spiffy. The gluey stuff dries very rapidly (way less than the hour they mention in instructions) and there is a ton of metal leaf to use on your projects. I tried the antiquing formula that they included and although it worked as advertised I chose to not use it in my final product and just re-applied the leaf. My project came out very nice and the recipient was well pleased with it. My first attempt at gilding
I spent a lot of time carving this wooden nickle. This was my first attempt at gilding. I am very happy with the results. It does require patience. Watch some videos prior to your trial run.

This is an easy to use kit. And I've made some pretty cool things. I would recommend this to anyone (especially beginners).

Great starter kit
I bought this as a gift to my mom. She used to gold leaf paint when she was younger and always talked about getting back into it. I had a hard time finding a good starter kit, but she likes this one.

Came damaged
The kit I bought, when opened up there was gold leaf all over the place. I didnt get one single sheet of gold leaf in tact. Dont buy this product
