I've just injected to the side of the filter. Then immediately covered the injection site with micropore tape.

Q: Are these presealable? 0.5 often are

The ones we got are not we use a heat sealer to close them

Q: to the manufacturer: do these bags melt in the autoclave? sounds like a nightmare!

I don't know about using them in an autoclave. But they've survived 2.5 hours at 15 PSI in my pressure cooker.
