Great gift
The kids love this. They begged me for it. It’s a wonderful gift, good quality.

Ugly, but excellent value for the cost
I think it's hideous and a waste, but the 5-year old has spent countless hours bathing and loving it, so I'll call it a win. Small, but perfect size for being hauled everywhere easily, and easily bathed in a bowl so there isn't water all over my house.

Very cute
I wasn't sure about this toy, but we like the full size versions, so we gave it a try. It's very cute. Comes out of it's kennel very crunchy, but after a little combing, it was fluffy soft. My 7yo really loves it and it was a great price.

Better quality control please.
First....tiny. Barely the size of a coke can. The reveal....once taken out of the plastic carrier you twist the non reusable pacifier and the ears pop out to reveal which animal you have. Once I took mine out the ears were already up and popping out the pacifier did nothing else. They should scrap the pacifier because you can't put the pacifier back in....there isn't a hole. There's some kind of substance on the fur to make the animal scruffy so you then use the included comb to smooth out. No water necessary. This did work out for me, and combs out very nicely much nicer than the previous scruff a luvs. The other fur is very soft and the body has a nice feel to them. Major fail were the eyes and nose. Very lopsided, it looks ridiculous. They have attached clips which adds another use for these tiny little creatures and they can be cute if you don't get a lopsided one like me. Also the carrier is detailed and great for extended pretend play. I think all the scruff a luvs should come in a plastic carrier instead of the paper packaging (especially considering the price of them). Ultimately, very cute and addicting because I've ordered 2 more since. Don't pay more than $8.

Not worth $23 should be $7-$10
WOULD NOT RECOMMEND This toy was very disappointing for $23 not worth that much at all my daughter wanted to spend her own money on it so we ordered it for her but this should cost no more then $10 should be ashamed charging that much for such a simple toy we will stick with purchasing better quality toys from now on

Unexpected… 😂
This is my first Amazon review ever because well…. I bought this as birthday present for my niece, for the price tag I thought this thing would a larger stuffed animal, well to my surprise it’s small enough to fit in the palm of my hand. I’m sure she’s gonna love it but I was expecting more bang for my buck 😂 Great kids toy but it’s honestly probably only worth $10

They make my kids happy so I'm happy too
My kids (daughter 9 and son 7) love these things because they're cute, colorful, fluffy, and can clip on to the chains on the swing set. I love these because they're relatively cheap for the joy they bring and are machine washable.

Overpriced and unremarkable
My daughter who I have purchased Scruff a Luvs for in the past asked for one this Christmas. The miniature one was all I could find that would arrive in time. She was disappointed as was I. I remember considering this item before but feeling it was probably way overpriced for what it was. The price came down a bit but it was still $22+ or so which is essentially the same as the full sized ones. It is supposedly improved and does not “require” water. That would be fine if it was true. My daughter played with it for two seconds then later on was asking my wife if she could get a real Scruff-a-Luv next year🥹. Not satisfied at all as I went from being the hero who remembered to order in time to being the one who wasted money on a gift we will have to sneak out while my daughter isn’t watching to get rid of.

The larger Scruff-a-luvs have looked interesting, but they're a bit pricey and the reviews talked about how difficult the plush is to wash and get all the glue out of the fur. This was easy, fun and the result is a very cute little fluff! It comes with a little comb that cleverly slots into the carrier (HOORAY for smart product design!) -- which you can use as a pet carrier afterwards, and that has been a big hit for playing "vet" -- and I also used a cheap plastic comb to get our results. The fur actually stays styled on its own, so it's a lot of fun to give them different hairstyles. The scruffy part goes all the way along their back and sides giving lots of fluff to play with. The plush itself is surprisingly solidly built with a thick, extremely soft fur on the parts that aren't the "scruffy" hair. It fits in my palm, and is really the perfect size for younger kids (and older kids!) to take with them for adventures. The heart clip on their back is generous in size give to clip it to various things, but easy for a smaller child to manipulate to unclip them. The clip also does not interfere with play, and where it attaches to the plush is extremely reinforced -- while I wouldn't suggest regularly yanking on it, the clip will open before the seams rip if the pet gets caught on something while on a backpack. I'm impressed by that detail as we have had a few accidents with other toys involving emergency brain surgery and stitches. To the toy. Not the kids. I'm super pleased we got a kitty, and was so impressed overall I bought them for my nieces and nephews, all of whom are thrilled with their new fluffy friends. There's a little checklist and a tag on their back leg to tell you which one you got, although we didn't have any problems identifying them as soon as we started brushing them! They're also not obviously gendered, which is a nice touch -- my blue kitty was dubbed a girl, and a purple koala is most definitely a boy according to the tiny Princess-Ghostbuster-Raptor-trainers I am somehow related to. The price is right as they can be scruffed up over and over. The pacifier was an interesting touch as a way to bundle them up with a tight closure, but it's just a play prop otherwise that the plushes can't actually hold. They do fit Jurassic Park dinosaurs, as it turns out!

This is the first and probably last one of these Little Live Pets we will buy. I thought it would be a fun toy for my child to try and take care of. But my 4 year old could not comb the hair out easily so I ended up having to do most of the work. The comb is really small and not practical for the application. The little pet house is also very delicate. It took no time before the door came off completely. It was a toy that only held my daughter's attention for about 10 minutes.
