I made the mistake of buying what my son calls an “off-brand” salt gun for flies from our local farm store. It was half the price of this one, but the only way it kills flies is if you hit them with it like a fly swatter. Huge mistake. I ordered this one after that experience, and you definitely get what you pay for. This thing is worth every single penny!!! It kills every fly with one shot. It’s extremely powerful so don’t let your kids play with it. My teenagers learned that the hard way. Lol. Between my teenage boys and my husband, they have so much fun ridding our house of any insects. I couldn’t recommend this enough. Don’t make my same mistake and buy anything other than this name brand salt gun!!!

This thing is so much fun it's unreal. It's pretty stiff and hard to use out of the box, but breaks in pretty fast. The included targets make great practice for learning how to use the sights and point shoot accurately. It annihilates houseflies like they're snow against a hard wind, but horseflies are tougher hunting, requiring several shots to down. The price could be a little lower, but I can't argue that it's hard to have a better time for fifty bucks. The black and grey color makes it feel more like a hunting shotgun when I'm out on safari. Highly recommended!

We absolutely love this bug assault gun. It provides ease to killing pesky flies, moths, and all of your unwanted summer pests inside and outside of the home. It is safe to use around pets and kids, because this device uses table salt, so no awful pesticides in the home. It comes with a safety button to help prevent accidents. It is a fun safe way to remove unwanted pests. Couch easier than a fly swatter.

The price point for this salt-shooter is on the high end, but for that you get a pretty reliable tool that accurately kills most bugs from up to 3 feet away. Since buying it, I haven't really wanted to use any other flyswatter.** Reliability:I've only just bought it recently, but it seems like the blaster itself is well-constructed. The plastic frame seems well-designed; the hollows inside the body are well braced and don't feel flimsy at all.** Accuracy:At roughly 1 foot from the muzzle, the salt spray is maybe 1" diameter. 3 feet from the muzzle, that spread expands to maybe 6 inches. It's simple to hit a fly-sized target at arm's length, and even a glancing shot will still stun a housefly long enough to finish the job.** Safety:There's an external button safety, and the rear sights pop up to serve as a cocking status indicator. It's not marketed as a "toy", and it's not for kids. The salt definitely stings if you hit skin within 3 feet, and I'd bet it would raise a welt at point-blank. Grains of salt can ricochet and hit eyes & face, so at least wear eye protection.** Fun:Unmatched fun factor, makes it worth every penny. Hunting down annoying houseflies is one of life's few remaining joys, and when one of the little jerks starts making it personal (dive-bombing your head, or slamming into your monitor...) you can be prepared.

Works great to kill spotted lantern flies. We have so many and they were driving me crazy. I saw someone suggest a salt gun and I thought I'd try it. We have gotten a little obsessive, but I think we might be making a dent. There aren't nearly as many around the house at least, so it's a win! And it's fun. The only issue is that my elbow hurts because it is a little difficult to cock so I might be getting tennis elbow from killing all the bugs. Oops

I had some tricky flies that knew how to avoid fly swatters. I got this as a fun and different method to get rid of the flies. It worked like a champ and got the fly! The gun does shoot salt so my concern was the mess it would create, but I shot a fly on my nice cloth couch and it didn't leave a mess or damage the couch. I would keep this gun away from kids, because I could see it hurting your eyes. As a safety feature they build in a safety, but I can see a kid easily pushing that button. Just something to be aware of if you have little kids.

Bug Assault really works, and it’s lethal! I took out one of those pesky little intruders with my first shot. Dead as a door nail and knocked off one of its wings to boot!The sights are accurate and work well within the specified range of Bug Assault but target acquisition and reacquisition would be faster with a reflex sight. All that is needed is a rail to mount up a green multi reticle Holosun , and a flip away 3X magnifier would be great too!A charging mechanism with the capacity for a 3 round burst would be a great upgrade to take on multiple assailants.Who would have thought we could have so much fun dispatching flies while getting in some range practice! 😃
