Badgy100 Color Plastic Card Printer

High resolution print. Fast and easy to use

In the last month, I have put this little card printer through a lot of printing! It is doing well. I will update if I have any issues!

I was excited to receive the Badgy 100 and get to work. During the summer, I printed about 20 employee ID cards and then the printer stopped working. I get a "WaitingforPrintJob window and nothing happens. I made several phone calls and was redirected twice. I have sent emails to the customer service people as I was told to do and no one responded. I now have a $600 desk ornament and no avenue to get it to work. I have cleaned the heads, replaced the print cartridge, deleted and reinstalled the software, and turned the machine off many times. It does not work.

So impressed. So easy to use & prints great!!!! Exactly what we wanted.

Overall this was a simple printer to setup.Was almost plug and play.My main problem was it did not meet the high quality print i hoped for. For simple, sqaure frame ID this will do.But the major drawback is that it will not print the full card and that was not acceptable for my needs.When you install the drivers you can easily print from windows by right clicking an image and selecting print which makes it a breeze to use, but the color accuracy and multiple settings did not yield the right results. Since this is lower dpi it cannot handle a gradient background well and came out blotchy, and I did mess around with the settings alot. Small text also is a struggle for this low of DPI or the printer head itself.I had high hopes but for my purpose I need a higher tier printer that can handle full and more complex card designs.

Ok, so I kinda have a love-hate relationship with this Badgy100 Printer. I was super excited when I first got this but then it gave me a bunch of problems when I tried printing and would only print one color (blue, black, yellow, pinkish-red). I called in to tech customer service and they walked me through some stuff which didn't work, then they got on my computer remotely and ran diagnostics and test prints and after awhile, it finally started printing normally. The tech representative said sometimes they just need some adjusting when they come out of the box. So yay that it finally started printing normal, but because of the very rough start and because I still have had some problems when I go to print cards and it's been turned off for awhile, I'm knocking a star off the rating. Overall, for the price of this system, it does a good job printing ID cards and badges that look professional.On a side note, if you're wanting to print to the edge, get the Badgy 100 because this does leave a little white border around the edge and it looks a little odd having a printed corner that then has a white curved border. I have combated this odd look by creating my templates in Photoshop and making the edges rounded so the border looks like its on purpose and part of the design. Anywho, for my budget when ordering this printer, it is suiting my need decently.

This Badgey printer has great quality output on the badges and is very easy to use. I had an issue with the margins printing on the badges at the start, but what I did was update the printer driver for the Badgy100 machine and everything worked fine after that.

This guy is amazing. We need to make a handful of badges a day and this fits the bill at an amazing price. The cards aren't perfect. Small areas of blemishes come up, but they are more than adequate for our simple uses.If you want to do more than a few dozen a week, it's probably a good idea to step up to a better one.
