Song titles not clearly visible because of numbers superimposed made it difficult to program

Not Worth The Money
Was excited to receive this clock ad I wanted to complete our Christmas decorations with a clock. Upon arrival , it was merely in original boxWhich had obviously been open prior to my delivery. Opening box and removing clock , the back fell off immediately. Very disappointed.Who pays over $50.00 for such poor quality....not me. Returned immediately.

Defective, but not so bad that I would return it
Problems with the clock:1. Came shipped in a bubble rap sleeve, but (other than the outer shipping carton) no inside box and no inside documentation.2. At first, I thought the clock was defective. I put in the batteries, set the time, and heard the first carol play. After that, hour after hour, the clock was silent. It wasn't until I looked it up online that I found that it has a nice feature where it is deliberately silent "at night." The actual hours it's supposed to be silent aren't listed. That's just lazy. And if the company had bothered to include a simple, 1-sheet instruction manual, it would have eliminated my frustration that it wasn't playing. (The clock face is a 12-hour face, but internally this keeps a 24-hour cycle. It plays its last carol at midnight and starts again at 9 am)3. Faux gold finish on the bottom front right corner is scuffed.4. Clock face lists the name of the carols for each hour, but the carol that actually plays is 2 hours off from the clock face.5. The minute hand is bent away from the clock face (as if someone tried to pry it off?)6. Three of the carols don't play correctly. I don't know if the chip is defective, damaged, or programmed incorrectly.Items 1,3, 5, and 6 make me wonder if I received a defective clock that someone else had returned, and it was simply re-shipped to me.I like the remaining carols that play correctly, and the bent minute hand and scuffed finish don't bother me that much. So I'm not going to return this. I got it as a gift and I like it overall. But I really can't recommend it.On the good side, the sound quality is high. This is not a tinny chip like you might get in a musical card. The bells sound like real bells or chimes (even if they play gibberish 3 times out of 12). And batteries were included, so that's a plus.

Disappointing sound quality
I got this to replace my Howard Miller “Carols of Christmas II” that quit keeping time. I am disappointed. The all-over graphic on the clock face makes it impossible to read the titles of some of the carols. But the bigger problem is that the sound quality is quite poor. It has a tinny, static-y quality to it. Its sound is not nearly as sweet and charming as my Howard Miller clock. One of the carols, “We Three Kings,” is virtually unrecognizable in its tune. For the price, spend a little extra and buy the name brand clock. You’ll get a much better value for your money.
