First the positive. These things are tough! Be sure to use a top quality driver bit for installation, the heads will strip out your Harbor Freight or Wal Mart quality bits after only a few screws. The negative, I used them to mount joist hangers onto treated 2x6 for a porch covering, the fact they have a brad tip instead of a cutting tip made them hard to start, so you can imagine the frustration of working with a slow starting screw, combined with the rounding out of my driver bits as I mentioned.

Got these to address a tie points of some steel building trusses to Pressure Treated Sill Plates in my Shop. Building Department required hot dipped galvanized for all PT connections. Truss Maker supplied electro-galvanized...Nobody seems to make hot dripped screws that I could find............only option seemed to be Stainless SteelDiscovered these and the coating applied to these screws met IBC for PT usage. I contacted the Building Department and they approved it and said save the box so we can confirm. When Inspector came, he checked the box and then the "head stamp" on the screws in some of the locations to confirm I used the right ones....signed off!

Used 2 boxes of these screws without any breakage. Definitely provides a secure mounting in wood. A big plus is being able to remove the screw and reuse it if needed.

I much prefer using screws when attaching joist hangers since it can be tight trying to hammer in between joists. These worked great.

Nice structural screws at a good price, time will tell how they hold up. I purchased these to attach 2x12 steps to angle iron. The hex head is easier to use than the star bit screws I purchased to mount the angle iron to the stringers. The price is also very good. I prefer using structural screws over lags in most cases.

I used Simpson Strong connectors for the deck roof. I had around 40 connectors needing up to 12 screws per connector so I opted for these screws. The drive easily with the supplied driver and bit onto the connector nicely - only time will tell if they hold well but they look very secure and seem corrosion resistant

I bought these to comply with construction codes. They worked out great and the 1 bit that came with the screws survived driving in all the screws I used up (most of the box)

These are good to use for mounting joist hangers. I am adding joist hangers to an existing deck and these screws fit the 10d nail holes perfectly. These are quality screws.

last summer replaced the stairs for my deck in the backyard, 13 steps tall. Initially used regular screws(dry wall) to have wooden steps fasten onto metal risers, but started to notice noise due to loosen connection.consulted with some people and recommended to used this type of screw. so I did.The number of screws is perfect for my project.The extra bit (fitting the screw head) is very thoughtful. I would give 6 stars if it is possible just for this. Homeowners don't always have everything designed for a specific project, and this seller obviously took this into the consideration. well done!So far so good. a month after, the stair is still as quiet as silenced lamb, hope it continues as what it is for now.

Stronger than hanger nails - the #10's are better than a 16d common nail - you didn't misread that. Better than a 16d common nail. The hex heads are impossible to cam out, and a simple driver bit is included in each box.
