Arc International Luminarc Working Glass, 14-Ounce, Set of 12, 12 Count (Pack of 1)

These glasses are thick! They are not cheap in price or anything else. If you like big, classy, old school looking glasses, get these. You can microwave them and freeze stuff in them. Get some lids too, they make great storage containers for left overs.

I have 3, 17-20 year old children, so they are harder on things because they are bigger and these glasses are the ticket. We did a kitchen remod and new glasses were in order. I searched all over Amazon and other places to find a tough glass and I like the reviews. These are very simple stylish tough glasses.. I hope they stand the test of time but that will be seen. They are thick and solid.The only beef I had wasn't really with the glass but the sticker that is put on the bottom of the glass, whew, they took a razor and goo be gone to get rid of the sticker and the glue residue.

These are the best glass glasses that I have ever owned. They are a good size and made of substantial, shatter-resistant glass.I had just rinsed one out and was slinging it to get the water out of it, when it slipped out of my hand, hit the stove, bounced off and hit the floor hard!The glass was not chipped, not cracked, not phased. I was gobsmacked.

My only complaint would be these French style glasses used to be sold with snap-on plastic lids. The lids made them great to do double duty as food storage containers. I wish they still went to the trouble to supply the lids.

These glasses were shipped double-boxed so arrived intact. A “Luminarc” sticker was on the bottom of each glass. While no guarantee that this means these glasses are genuine, in my opinion, they are. I have other Luminarc Working Glasses and the new ones are identical in every way. These glasses will stack but with a warning or two. Do not stack hot out of the dishwasher, especially if you need to separate while still warm. You’re asking for chipping, possibly breakage. Cool them first to room temp. Second, stacking no more than two high, just my personal preference, may ensure greater longevity. As to difficulty removing the Luminarc stickers some have complained about. I ran hot water with Dawn in my sink, let them sit overnight and the stickers did slightly loosen for easier removal.

These are not durable. Conceivably what was shipped is not really Luminarc -- nothing on the glassware names the manufacturer. When I emailed Luminarc to ask if I should find a distinctive marking, I received no response. The glasses I have chip or crack very easily, simply from slipping around in the dish rack and hitting another glass.

These are my favorite glasses. They hold a lot but are not tall, something I prefer. They have a terrific heft to them. It's too bad that the box of 12 I received was only half full of intact glasses. The rest were shards. Happily I got a half refund, but I had to call. Initially, I was told to return it. You're not supposed to return a box of broken glass.

I have ordered 14 ounce glasses three times now, and three times you have sent me 21 ounce glasses. I want the right F#@!$& glasses!!! Please look up my buying history I have ordered a lot of items over the past six months. This is not acceptable! I have returned the two previous orders at my expense for the last time. Someone with Amazon with enough verbal skill to communicate needs to contact me and get this resolved now!Now that I have cooled down a little, I feel compelled to correct a couple of things. First I did not have to send back the incorrect items at my expense. I was provided a return for each, I am not sure where I got the idea that I did it at my expense. Second, I returned the last set this morning after a chat with a customer service agent.The issue is not resolved. I don't know if there is a glitch in the system or I just have had streak of bad luck. I ordered these glasses three diferent ways and each time I got the wrong stuff. So beware if you are after the 14 oz glasses, something is amiss. I took the customer service agents advice and did not try a fourth time. I gave up and found them on another website. I don't have the glasses yet so who knows if I will ever see them.I order a lot of things from amazon, close to 100 orders last year, this is the first time I have had this sort of problem. I guess 1 out of 100 is not bad, but that one can sure be irritating.
