This was truly awful. My husband loves coffee and bourbon so I thought it would be the perfect gift. The flavor was so strong and sweet and we could NOT get it out of our coffee grinder for the longest time. We tried multiple rounds of running rice through the grinder to absorb and get the taste out with no luck. We could not stand it and told our other coffee/bourbon loving friends about it. They said they would give it a try so we gave them the rest of the bag. They hated it just as much. We would not recommend this at all. :0(

Don't waste your time trying the other bourbon barrel aged coffees. There is not a better product on Amazon. This comes out of Nebraska. Each package is labeled with the barrel and batch number. If you are a true fan of bourbon, this coffee is the one. The smell is just like bourbon. Sometimes people actually think you are having bourbon. The taste is out of this world. Doesn't need creamer. Enjoy this stuff black and it is truly a flavor bomb. If I had one negative thing to say, it would be that I wish it was a little cheaper. For as much as I like it, I go through it entirely too fast.

I bought this product as I tend to like bourbon barrel aged wine and beer and figured that there would be no harm in trying something with coffee.When I got it I noticed that it smelled far more strongly of bourbon than I would have guessed. It wasn't until I opened it that I (and my wife who was in the next room) got the full experience. The most cloying, infesting smell of bourbon filled the entire kitchen, absolutely indescribable through words. We put it in the trash. The smell persisted. We tied the plastic bag off and put it in the trash downstairs and the smell went away, but came back in the living room. When I went down to the basement, I found the trash area smelling strongly of bourbon and the smell had filtered up through the floorboards.Do not recommend.

I ordered the Bourbon Barrel Aged Coffee, Dark Roast, whole bean. It was labeled as from barrel 33 and delivered at the beginning of November 2020. I was not impressed. They had the coffee flavored barrel flavor on point, but I did not taste much bourbon flavor. In my experiments with this bean I preferred the drip coffee maker method the best, but French Press was okay, and cold brew was almost unbearable and rather oily. I was hoping to find a bourbon barrel coffee comparable to the Wiggly Bridge or even Green Mountain Bourbon Barrel Aged coffee, but this one was lacking the flavor I was looking for. It's possible a lighter roast might provide better results, but at the time of my order and of this review the Dark Roast is the only whole bean option available.

We had tasted some bourbon roasted coffee with a free sample and thought it was good. I looked for it on Amazon but they didn't have that specific brand so I tried this one. Not bad, very aromatic! I just put one scoop with my regular French toast and that's plenty. A nice different blend. Liked the other roast better tgough, this one not as smooth!

I like that I can buy a coffee that was roasted in my home state of Nebraska! One of the best tasting I've had in a long time.

We had the whiskey barrel aged iced coffee at a Starbucks Roastery and loved it. Wanted to make it at home. We use the Kitchen Aid cold brew coffee maker with freshly ground beans. To enjoy, we dilute 1:2 with cold water and add an ice cube and a splash of simple syrup. Omg.... it's amazing!

I bought this as a gift for my dad and he loved it. The glass bottle is thick and doesn't seem very fragile and although I haven't tried it myself, my dad said that the coffee tastes great and has a strong bourbon flavor.
