A Handy Tool
The Q-Tech Battery Load Tester is a Handy Tool to have , I like that it's simple to use and accurate, I use the Tester to check my Jump N Carry Booster after I charge it, Give me spot on readings. Also good for Auto Battery checks as well. Just follow directions and you can't go wrong, Works as advertised, Priced good, shipping is fast, Buy it if you have a need for one of these units,

Basic battery load tester.
I have used this type of tester for many many years. This works just fine. For diy people, read instructions thoroughly. It works.

Excellent load tester, but not indestructible
Q-TECH Battery Load Tester 100 Amp 6/12V with Metal Switch I've been abusing this load tester for three years now, and I've finally cooked it. It isn't indestructible. It will put about 80 amp load (according to my clamp on amp meter. The internal resistor (4 parallel nichrome wires) produce about .2 ohm resistances when cool but who knows when the wires start glowing red . This tester is good for 10-15 seconds of load. After that, the nichrome wires get red hot and the solder joints melt that connect the battery leads to the internal load switch. I've melted the switch contacts closed too many times and I've now melted the coppeer crimp connector to the nichrome wire. I need a new tester. 15 seconds max. or you will cook it. I've found the voltmeter and the amp meter accurate and the tester functions as needed to test alternators and battery health. I'll be ordering another one of these. I like it.

Low Tech But Works Great and is All You Need
No complaints with this one. I checked both my motorcycle and car battery successfully. Diagnosed a bad motorcycle battery and a good car battery. Problem with the car was the alternator, not the battery.

It works
It works well, easy to use. Wires are really short could be a little longer. It answer my curiosity about battery condition. I use to have to replace the battery on jet ski every year. Since I started using a trickle charger on the battery I’m on my 4th year with the same battery. It still reads 12.5 volts. Now I can verify the voltage, I’m happy
