These are just what I needed for an Inherited Comic Book Collection. When comics are in these sleeves the colors seem to Really Pop.

Their bags and boards are simply the best. they fit the comics snug but not too tight. the price is high but I don't mind since they work and look so good. shipping was quick, nothing damaged. these are also good for modern "square bound" books as well since they are a little bigger and need more room.

This is two different products, and the quality is not equivalent between them. The boards are great, nice and clean, smooth and acid-free on one side. The bags are clear, and slide nicely past each other, such that it's easy to insert or remove your bagged comics from your boxes without them getting stuck together. And I never had any trouble getting boards to fit into the bags. It's sometimes a tiny bit looser or tighter, but generally they're obviously made for each other and work perfectly in tandem. Getting all the good parts out of the way, the one big issue is that the plastic of the bags is pretty thin and flimsy, and can't hold up to much at all. I bagged and boarded a bunch of comics, then went back later to read them, and just trying to remove the tape tore quite a few of the bags. It was pretty annoying and ruined what had been a pristine set of bagged and boarded comics. For the most part it wasn't so bad that I had to throw out the bags, but a good twenty or so are a bit damaged from the tape pulling and stretching the plastic. I admit it's my fault for not giving myself a little folded over pull tab on the tape to make it easier, but still, other bags can handle having tape pulled off them without getting this messed up. Still, with some extra care in the taping, I think that can be almost entirely mitigated, and the price is good for the combination. Despite everything, I will probably by another set of these bags and boards eventually.

Overall this product does what's intended of it. The boards are sturdy with one side having a archival coating. The bags are a 2mil clear plastic which are good for general use. I handle my books with some regularity and these do a good job at protecting them while in storage. I have tried several other brands and they're all fairly comparable at the 2mil thickness. With the bags being on the thinner side it's quite easy to tear them if you use very sticky tape. I've taken to using a small piece of double sided tape to keep my bags closed, this has helped avoid tearing. You may not want to do this, but it works well for my situation. If you're looking for something to protect your comics these do the job just fine. If you're looking for something more heavy duty, you may want to check out other brands or thicker bags.

The BCW bags and boards are perfectly sized for whatever generation of comic you are looking for. I have bought other generic companies boards and bags for cheaper but the bags always seem to be too big and when put in a long box have caused additional damage to occur. With these BCW bags and boards my comics are protected and secure...great piece of mind.
