Love having a remote so that you don’t have to turn a light off at the lamp or plug and unplug.

The media could not be loaded. My apartment has a few wonky electrical aspects like 2 outlets in 2 different rooms that only work when a certain light is on, or a room that has 1 outlet and 1 wall switch but they're not connected and there's no ceiling light, the switch is just there for aesthetics. Added annoyance that that's the bedroom, so when you enter you have to fumble to the corner to turn on the lamp and before sleeping you have to fumble to the corner to turn off the lamp. First world problem if I've ever heard one I know but it's annoying so I wanted a fix, and oh what a fix this is. Since the plug is narrow it doesn't block the other plug AT ALL and the plug and remote just look so nice. All the other options around the same price point look like ugly 90's tech. Pairing was beyond easy and when I ordered I misunderstood the remote as only having a magnetic back, not that it had it's own adhesive wall mount so I thought I was going to have to replace the plastic wall switch with a metal cover or loose the portability by sticking the remote on. As stated I was wrong and I really like the added detail that the way the magnets are in the wall mount and the remote it always goes on straight up and down so you never have to fumble for where the button is (brief video attached showing this). Didn't test distance since I'll never need this farther than the light will reach but I did shove it beneath a bunch of pillows and it still worked fine.To make a long review short, if you're looking for a cheap outlet remote get this one.

It was easy to get the intended installation to FAIL, i.e. both on buttons were activating the same equipment. It seems that this remote can be configured many ways. TIP: IF YOU MAKE A PAIRING MISTAKE and the the device is not doing what you want, HOLD THE PLUG BUTTON DOWN FOR 10 SECONDS TO CLEAR THE FAULTY PAIRING. Then start over. The directions actually do describe this pairing ERASE feature, but if you don't read that, you may think the remote is malfunctioning. Note: you MUST plug in the plug for pairing and you must pair BOTH the on and off buttons separately for each controlled device.By the way, we now have TWO of these remotes and FOUR plugs. They DO support at least FOUR different frequencies - possibly more - for controlling FOUR different devices from TWO remotes. You just have to be VERY careful with the pairing process. We would suggest pairing them with outlets all in the same visual space, and then plugging them into the controlled devices later once all the buttons work properly. The little blue light on each plug will confirm that it is working as intended.
