Dose not fire on first attempt.
Wont fire on first attempt. Firing pin is short or something. I contacted DT and they had me adjust a screw on end of firing pin. Did not help. My friend has one of these and it works great. I think this company might have sold me a reconditioned one. NOT Happy with this seller. But they wont allow returns.NEXT time I spend the extra money and buy one from gundogsupply.com or a reputable gun dog supply company.

Well constructed. Good budget choice
Bought three of them for my dogs. One was with the transmitter and the others were the remote add-ons. I had previously bought a hand launcher which I used for a while but if not use perfectly can give quite a jolt if using the higher charges. My dogs are Senior and Master Title holders so are very responsive. I needed three for training on triple marks -- hence the purchase of three. There are other launchers that have multiple dummies but they range in price from $500 to $1000 without the launcher so purchasing these DT System ones was part of finding a cheaper choice. I did not mind going back out and setting them up again for the savings.I used the yellow charges at first but they launched the dummies very far (red ones are not recommended). Went to the green ones which still gave them a long launch but more reasonable (distant depends on launch angle). I used the beeper sound to alert the dog on where the launch was coming from (be nice to have a duck call on the launcher but the beep works). On field trials there is no warning so could launch without it as part of the training (in hunting, there is rarely a quack from ducks so good training). Had some non-launches (no fire) even though the plunger triggered. Not sure what the cause -- had just used silicone spray so it should have been smooth. Last time though I was careful to make sure the charge was well seated and had no failures.I am going to buy one more remote so I can do doubles for both dogs without reloading. Will update review as I continue to use them but now I am very satisfied -- they are light and well constructed. Going to try the brown charge which is the lowest to keep the launch down. More like the trajectory in Hunt Tests. For price and ease of use I am giving it a five star.

Two Stars
Good product except little screws and mounts are constantly breaking. Easy fixes, but annoying.

GREAT for retreiver training
The media could not be loaded. The launcher itself is very good. Well constructed and easy to use.The launcher goes quite far on the yellow loads - you can adjust the angles pretty easily. Before you try to use this in the field, take the time to become familiar w the unit and the workings of the electronics.I am giving it only 4 stars because the housing for the electronics is cheap plastic. It is not the same heavy-duty plastic covers as on my e-collar (different brand.) The first time using it in the field, the cover for the remote battery compartment fell off. Luckily, I noticed it and found it right away. They claim it to be weather resistant - let's hope so! It took me a few tries to get used to having to turn the dial to use each subsequent launcher. I wish it was a bit more advanced - where I can program the order of the receivers and just push the button when I want the next one to go (instead of having to take my eyes off of my dog to turn the dial 1 mark to the right.)The sound of the locator beeper goes pretty far. Too bad it does not have duck call sounds! If you have one dog, this is a great product. If you run multiple dogs on the same setups, this might not be the best product because you have to go back and reload each time. After using this for a few days, you have to remember to THINK about each step needed to set up each launcher. THINK even more if you are running multiple marks:1) Load dummy2) load blank3) close launcher4) reset receiver so arm is down5) pull back ratchet to set the launcher6) test the beep so you remember which launcher # it isRepeat this for each launcher. Before running dog, remember which # is which, and reset the dial on the remote to start with the correct #. NOW you are ready to run your dog.Overall, I really like the product. D.T. Systems Super-Pro Remote Dummy Launcher System - RDL-1209

Poor quality. Bolt broke after only 8 launches
Used this for the second time (first time i maybe used it for 10 min max with my yellow lab) and the bolt that holds the slide to the frame sheared off. Such poor quality for a pricey product that is expected to be able to use for more than 8 launches. Don’t buy.

Great product
I thought it was kind of silly that my husband wanted this for the dogs, but the dogs are crazy about it! They go nuts when they see it! I'm surprised at how far the dummies fly, and it works perfectly. Highly recommended!
