Well made pet carrier
I purchased this for a yorkshire puppy who sleeps on my bed and needs his own space. It is well made and offers plenty of room for him to stretch out. The "soft" pad on the bottom is really not all that soft...I covered it with a blanket for him to lie on. I am pleased with the workmanship and the bag overall.

Well Worth the Price!
The carrier is larger than it looks and must be comfortable for my car. Finally I can take her to the vet without a fight.

After 3 years: Sturdy and cat loves it
3 YEAR UPDATE: I can't believe I've had my kitty almost 3 years. I still have this carrier and still LOVE it. She still naps in it sometimes and she likes to jump in and out of it while playing. The carrier hasn't shown any signs of damage! It was a great buy that I highly recommend. The only drawback is that she's heavier so it's not as easy to carry her with the shoulder strap, but that's not the carrier's fault.Edited to add: It's been a few months and I still LOVE this carrier. My cat plays in it all the time and scratches at the sides but it doesn't show any sign of damage. I took her to the vet and liked how she could see her surroundings well while being secure in the carrier. I also walked to the vet and it was easy to carry using the shoulder strap. I really am very glad i bought this and my mom has one now for her cats to play in.Original review: I bought this to bring my new cat home from my mom's house, which involved a six hour car ride. I took it to my mom's and set it open on the floor, hoping the new kitty would get used to it and not be scared to go inside. Well, it was a huge hit with all 4 of the cats in the home. They took turns napping in it, and they played with each other through the mesh sides. I was a bit concerned how the mesh would hold up because the kitten seems to think it's a scratching posts, but so far it's fine.It was easy to coax her in after she had spend a few days with The carrier. The kitten didn't enjoy the long car ride and much meowing and scratching ensued, but the carrier was good and fit perfectly behind the front seats. Now we're home and ever though it's only been one day since her harrowing experience, she's already back to napping in the carrier. I guess it's her safe spot, which is great.I plan on buying another for my mom's cats because they loved the thing. I'll update of it doesn't hold up long tem, but it seems well built.

Good Carrier. Quite acceptable.
Purchased the Large Carrier for a Standard/Mini dachshund mix: 17 lb dog/ 24" long. Fit just fine. It met airline requirement of the dog being able to comfortable turn around.I had to force this carrier under the seats. That was fairly easy because the body of the carrier is flexible. Thankfully my feet could still squeeze in alongside the carrier... Just make sure that the zipper is facing toward you so you can let them pop their faces out at you if they need comforting. You will not be able to easily turn the carrier once it is under the seat.OK, so my only issue is that the base is attached flimsily with 4 small velcro attachments in the 4 corners. As a result, the sherpa gets pushed to the side and wadded under the dog whenever they wiggle... Or if you are in my camp, you may have a burrowing dog (dachshund-type, terrier-types) and they get stimulated by it and begin pulling it up and trying to dig. The Sherpa padding is also quite thin. It does not do much to encourage them to "get cozy." It also does not really meet the requirement of being an emergency bathroom pad, which is an airline requirement...I would encourage amazon to amend that and make the padding thicker and more firmly attached.I am also not crazy about the strap.... But I am have no neck/shoulder problems so it was fine.If you have a stubborn breed (dachshund, terrier) you may like to hear what worked for me when it came down to introducing the carrier: I had great success with just leaving the carrier out in a random room with a piece of kibble in the back. Top open and front open. I came in the room later in the day and he was licking it all over on the inside, which is his way of getting familiar and leaving his mouth scent for later. Great! We had very little flight anxiety, overall. I was able to unzip the top enough for him to pop his head out as we flew.Note: My husband and I both took turns sleeping in a t-shirt the 2 days before and then put it into the carrier just before we put him in on the day of the flight... He covered his face with it and slept through the whole 6 hours. Seems like it worked out ok. Our dog isn't terribly anxious, though. So I am not sure how that might go for others, but it worked well for us.Altogether I am very pleased with this purchase. This carrier is affordable, gets the job done, and the velcro thing is easy to alter for the mischievous dogs.Hope this helps. :)

Flight Ready Carrier
I ordered the large size as a secondary travel carrier. It is impressive in construction. The "factory smell" is not too strong. My cats really do adore this carrier, which is all that matters. The large size fits my cats with plenty of room, each is 11-12 lbs (my cats are in shape, not overweight). My cats have long legs, and their bodies are easily 20+ in length when fully stretched out. So the 19 in length really makes a big difference, compared to other travel carries that are 11x11x18 inch. This large carrier is 10.2x11.2x19.7 inch. It is pretty huge compared to other travel carriers that are designed to fit under the seat. I like that it is more narrow but longer and taller. Even the .2 inch height difference from the standard 11 inch is a huge difference for long-legged cats. The nearly 2 inch difference in length is really crucial for long cats. I don't know the weight limit on this, but I am using this as back up on Lufthansa flight, were the total carrier limit (including pet) is 8kg. So this being such a light, well-built carrier, with max ventilation at under $30 makes it a steal! My cats love this carrier, and it fits most travel requirements.

Nice Breathability, But Too Small for My Pet
This pet carrier has great mesh sides, which I really liked for airflow and visibility — it seems like it would be very comfortable for pets in that regard. Unfortunately, it was too small for my pet to use comfortably. The quality and design are nice, but be sure to double-check the measurements before purchasing to make sure it’s the right fit.
