It did pretty well except now one of the poles is broken
I've had this product for a year and a half. It did pretty well except now one of the poles is broken. The linkage between the poles on one pole essentially failed, and now i can't join one of the poles together to use it. I know their warranty is a year but you'd really hope that that doesn't mean it will fail right after a year, but it did. I did get some decent use out of it, but knowing they won't last many years will deter me from buying nice hiking poles again. next time i'll just live with the extra few grams and buy a cheap set.

Great for travelers
These were just the thing for an expedition to the Greek island of Amorgos, a hilly and rocky place with many challenging trails. I had both knees replaced a year and a half ago, and while I felt ready for anything, I did want to have trekking poles to keep me secure. What's more, I wanted them to fit in a carry-on bag, because if there's anything I hate, it's waiting at a baggage carousel for my checked luggage to turn up -- assuming it does turn up! These magical sticks collapsed to a bundle 16 inches long and less than three inches in diameter, and innocuous enough in appearance that they passed through security inspection in Boston, Toronto, Athens, and Frankfurt. (I had a letter from the knee surgeon addressed to TSA, just in case, but I never had to show it.)They're aren't as sturdy as a good Leki pole, and they don't have the spring-loaded handle that softens the impact transmitted from stone to wrist, but for the purpose I put them to (and will again in future years, I hope), they are perfect.

Good poles, bad strap
After purchasing these poles, I used them on a 6 day hike. I was disappointed that within 1-2 hours of use, the strap on one of the poles began to deteriorate as a result of poor stitching. The poles themselves, however, held up incredibly well after 8-10 hours of use each day in very mountainous terrain (Switzerland's Haute Route).

good pole
Very light, easy to transport, excellent stability. Only wish they didn't pull apart so easy when they get hung up. But did not greatly affect my overall experience with the poles.

Three Stars
Too long for me (I'm 5'8") and not adjustable. They have, however proved to be quite durable.

The "Z" folding capability makes them easy to pack in checked luggage
These poles were used for a recent charity hike in CO to the top of Pikes Peak. The poles were in use continuously from our 5 AM start of the 13 mile trek up Barr Trail right up thru 4 PM when we summited the top of Pikes Peak They are light but strong and they performed extremely well on both the hard packed dirt and rocky parts of the trail with no problems of any kind noted. The "Z" folding capability makes them easy to pack in checked luggage. You can't go wrong with these hiking poles.

Would highly recommend
These are definitely the best on the market. They're a little more expensive than others I've tried, but they're totally worth it. I would highly recommend. I took them on a brutal, rocky, hilly trail in Maine where they were getting beat up, pounding solid rock constantly for three days, getting stuck between cracks, bad weather. I thought for sure I would break one at some point, since they're so lightweight. But they held up just fine. I didn't even break the little pad off the bottom.

One Star
Terrible poles for me. They tend to separate way too often
